Round and Rammed
nice departure, some cool sounds going on here and sounds full on techy wizardry n stuff! sweet
Listening to a guy that always has constructive, positive & negative crit, this better be good. Well, waddaya know, it is. On my 3rd listen (& beer coincidentally) As a non-conformist, maniacal musician I find this orgasmic ally pleasing. Hold on... have to have a 4th listen... yep... damn great! Gets my last nom!
Hey James Sir, has that 'classy' sound. I actually luv this even tho. not my genre lol, but very kool sir. Sonya. :)
Andy , Classical classic my friend!percusson is right on the money. Some hard work gone into ths . Good luck with it . Take Care Andy :)
Genioulsy good work Andy
You succeded on giving a modern feeling and more accurately an contemporary way of composing classical minuets..i loved it..made me think of mechanic orange.
Have no idea how you do this Andy. Luckily, I have virtually no experience in classical music so this is a classic to me. I guess that's why I like the drums. Those your fingers doing that. You do tap em well my friend. Dan
Very nicely produced and it certainly is an intricate piece and well thought out..well done R
Thought I'd have another listen...maybe knick some ideas...still got those ker-rayzee drums...like Barry says, Animal...ON ACID!Is it finished then?;) Good luck fella.
Been listening as you've been adding and nibbling away at this piece. It certainly is whacky and very well arranged and instrumented, but sorry just can't get my head round those drums. Good luck in the comp though!
Sorry for being a total grammer idiot!!!
It's like King Henry VIII orchestra had an impacted in 2010 with Bach on organ with Animal on percs!!!! Delightful matey!!!
Reminds me a bit of A Clockwork Orange. It wouldn't be out of place in that movie. Nice piece of work.
V2 WIP UP NOW - COMMENTS?
I love it, Nice touch with the jazzy ending. Vin
Damn...you have come up with another eye opening track. The drums are very radical mate. The great Keith Moon would love this, the strange thing is it works even with that cool retro Carlos moogish lead. Its a WIP sounds cool so far,i have my work cut out now mate.Like it so far, love the retro feel to the synths.
A real treat for the ears....something very ELP about this..very well put together...very nice use of beats and sounds.R
Well yeah - sort of Walter Carlos meets Cozy Powell (sorry). I couldn't hold a candle to it tho. Interesting and setting the standard as usual.
The percs are quite brilliant in my opinion as is the bass. Not quite getting the synth lead but as a WIP this sets the bar high - good work
Hmmm thought I'd check out what the enemy has evilly cooked up as well - lol. Well this is a spiteful broth indeed. Like the whimsical quality
Guilty as charged, I thought it was gonna be something filthy...Enjoyed my listen anyway! Vaguely familiar with classical bits, so no real help there, got to trust you've done a faithful reproduction of the two melodies, the blend gave it a whimsical feel with a slight touch of Phantom of the Opera, and the "in your face" drums worked for me. Can't say I've ever heard percussion used that way in a classical piece, and I liked it. Jazziness wrapping it all sounded pretty cool too. Nice work, man!
Dude...even though your'e the enemy, lol(damn,i never say lol)...this is pretty cool.It reminds me of''A Clockwork Orange'',Alex Delarge and co running amok with this playin' in the background;)Nice classical mash-up,think the percs are a bit too radical for me,but what do I know?Hate to say this, but it's gonna be a tough one to beat...but...I luvs a challenge.
I began recording songs in January 2006. Genre is rock, pop and jazz with electronica dabbles on a few toons. It's a hobby for me. I record using cubase.
Home studio using a PC, yamaha keyboard, a couple of guitars and a Rode NT1A mic. I use cubase for recording/mixing and wavelab for mastering.
A strange fact - in 1976, the term "Mega" was 1st coined by me and came into general usage as meaning something great or awesome. I was an apprentice electrician at the time and "mega" was a technical prefix meaning "a million times". I remember that all my fellow students started using the term so maybe this was down to me. Nobody hardly says it anymore so i guess it's run it's course.
Another strange fact - i designed a telephone for use in a mortuary. Dead interesting lol!!!
Nice strong melody & energy to this track, would be great for the movies.
wow i felt like i was actually at a pink floyd concert excellent tune.
James Oakwood is a new name to me from MP3 Unsigned but hey, he is a man in love with his bed obviously so he's cool by me. He's also a rock artist which, as you well know, definitely fine by me. According to his webpage, he's only been writing and recording since 2006 and features a tasty pick of all his kit (is that a Dell?); the kind of stuff you need to make rock music. Even
Wooohooo!
A refreshing track about my fave place, I love it!
Keep em comming Mr Oakwood!!
