Stroll...ft. Lodato
Hey Dan, this is reminding me of Traffic right now! Very cool. I don't know if I ever heard this before but now that I have I am much better for it. Thanks for the re-upload! You guys are great talents and this example proves it IMHO! Thumbs!
Very unique song guys!
great song
This is a very tidy track :) Rich sounds different but the same.. Hope that makes sense lol Reminds me vocally of a Deftones track that they did acoustically. Really cool track guys. Peace,Ricky
This song really sets your mind on a beautiful journey! Beautiful arrangement and what a beautiful voice!! Well done, guys!
Thanks for the comments on "Jazz Deux" and "Orchid" Dan. An excellent collaboration - mellow and laid back with a moody vibe. Love the rumbling bass sound throughout. Great mix and production too.
That is such a sweet combo of voice from Rich and your music Dan. Your music with the sweet undulating, unassuming rumbles of sound. And perfect deep understated vocal/lyrical delivery from Rich :) Apt title also. Stroll, I for one am strolling ;) Well worked track Guys. Mix works perfectly to my ears. Well presented and full. Enjoyed alot :) Ess X
I tried so hard to comment earlier in the week guys but tech issues prevented.... This greatness dudes, a real classy piece of music and rich's voice is totally fitting; really, really good. Only crit is the speeding up - but then again maybe it's good that it does this - it's barely noticeable as the track develops - only really noticeable when it repeat plays. Well done you two, thumzup
Glad you left it up ,so I could grab a copy. Love this Collaboration Guys.
Great track. It has a nice soothing sound to it. To me it almost has a middle-eastern kind of feel. Great vocal work. Great work all around as well.Thumbs!
Felt like I Just tripped down a lost brian ferry track. Its so crazy good and unexpected i am stopped dead.
Has an 80's jazz vibe on this - production and vocals are top notch. Lovely piece of work
very cool track.. love the feel and vocals are haunting..... good work guys..
Dan, thank you for you talent so I could do this one that really got to me. Listen folks.
Great job guys, what a mellow trip, it's got a jazzy undertone for my money. Can see this played at a cafe bar @ sunset on a beech. Great.
What a perfect marriage of two very creative musicians. You work seamlessly together here to make an atmospheric and thoroughly original piece. Absolutely terrific collab. It deserves a No.1 slot - heres hoping. Thumbs.
It stood alone as a wonderfully meditative piece, now with Rich's vocals and imagination, we have a real stroll into "never" and "forever" via some sultry vocal tones and sustains worth the stroll with you two. Glad for the collab gentlemen ;) Talent working with talent is a thing of beauty to behold, indeed! Thumbs! (if I can ;)
Relaxing tune Dan, good for meditation this one, nice!
The opening reminded me of Sade, wonderful track Dan. Very rhythmic and great keyboards as per usual. You have create a wee gem. Thumbs
Yeah, I can stroll along here very easily. Texture for days as well a gentle ride. You always dazzle me with your vision of music. Capturing moments like snapshots through the craftiness of your music. Gee Dan.
Dan, the rhythms of the opening lead along the boulevards of your mind and to the bistros and cafés...marketplaces...somehow I picture people around in this vignette. That I picture so much with details running crazily is a testament to the sonic and rhythmic qualities infused...loved the pause at 2:20...full stops create so much too...what a stroll! Thumbs!
Howdy! A Southern California artist living in Texas. Go figure. Make em up as I go along. Charter member of the pray and play theory of music...;-). I have been extremely fortunate to have some of the best artists on this site take some of my musical creations and take them to "a whole nother level" . The following artists have been kind enough to do this.
Essence, Saphfire, Dawn Sinclair, Carol Sue Kirkpatrick, Amy Caldwell, Vince Fedele (aka Riddle, A Brighter Day, Vin), AndyF (aka Andrew Foyston), Tony Miller, James (Andy) Oakwood, Joseph Rodriguez, Lodato (aka Rich Lodato), Peter Vines, AntonH, Boojolay (David Smith) and the irrepressable David Joel Carter
This piece is as most of what I hear from Dan. Ambient by nature on the borderline of new age but really ambient as the passion involved is so thought provoking. The quality of sounds and just enough of structure to keep you guessing where it's going next at the same time, the flow doesn't keep you waiting but going along for the journey. That's magic. Dan has that aplenty and just about anyone wh
Essence is a very talented lady from MP3 Unsigned who I have reviewed once or twice, notably on Towers Are Gone (July 2008) a marked departure from her usual style, and her first (I think) collaboration with Dan Michaelson, an American keyboard player and songwriter. He supplied the music and she supplied the vocals and lyrics and - despite it being in a genre I don't normally care for - I found
What a beauty music...I can see the princess on his room...and walking over all of her palace...a beauty, and magical descriptive music...rated!
Dan Michaelson describes himself as "truly an amatuer". For reasons none other than he is not fully conversant with the mechanics of musical theorem. I suspect as a result of that some people feel the need to explain themselves and somehow belittle themselves when faced with the critics imaginary lack of theory beating stick. What i mean by this is that nobody should call themselves an amatuer, ci
