No More War ... Ft. NayJ & James Oakwood
Sorry I missed this b4 because it is BIG! Apart from a fabulous vocal, there are touches of genius all over the show. Could easily be mainstream stuff and I'd switch on my radio for it folks!
I read through the comments to make sure I'm not repeating what someone else said but theres nothing I can add that hasnt already been said... Extreemly funky, great vocal work, wonderful instrumentation. Can I leave a thumbs up instead of a decent review? :)
Wow guys, just got back home to find that I made the No2 spot with this track. Thanks so much for all your votes and support... Phil
The quality on this track is so cool. All artists onboard my this ship sail far.The vocals cut thru nicely, outstanding singing and tune.
Man, Phil, you have connected with a tremendous vocalist in this. She works some magic over that funky instrumentation of yours! Your syncopation and bass really lay down a track that allows Naomi room to roam...Andy laying sown some very fine lines that fit the vibe so well. Love this ! What a track to grab my morning coffee with! :)
brilliant track - love it, easy rate C;
Hey everyone, thanks for the fantastic comments on this track, probably the best ever :) Thanks - Phil.
Nice Funk music, great production. rated
Wow! Love it! :) Excellent production, catchy as hell tune, and Naomi's powerful and confident vocal recalls Alison Moyet in her heyday (which is no mean feat). Absolutely, unquestionably, recommended and receives a hearty thumbzup from me! Finally, an MP3U contender to out-Funk "Turquoise" ;)
Super track, strong Funk music and wonderful words, I love the sound of the singers voice, great production with the horn parts and it sounds awesome! Andrew
Yeah, this is really like bringing funk to now, beautiful production, nice and bright, hats sound so good, bass slaps take me back, great influences, maybe Rose Royce and Undisputed Truth. Love what you've done here, Massive Thumbs up, DL thank you, Gibbo

A pleasure to help out Phil. Classy track and vibe.
Huge sound ya got goin' here, Phil, impressive! Naomi's vocals panned apart like that are so effective, well done with those. I've heard a lot of Oakwood's guitar, but never heard him sounding quite like this, ha ha! Nice work with those keys, drums and bass. Well done, excellent collab, this is a fun listen and an easy rate.

Hi,
I have played the piano a long time now, I was classically trained from the age of 6 and sold my soul to Blues and Jazz at the age of 14. ♦
I've played in a number of bands, from rock to soul, funk, jazz & blues. Recorded in some great studios and toured extensively throughout the UK and Scandinavia, many years ago. ♦
I enjoy composition, improvisation and music in any number of styles with an eclectic taste in what I enjoy listening to. I've recently started playing regularly again and writing and recording music, originally just to hear what my improvisations sound like when recorded, but now I find how much I enjoy writing and composing all over again. ♦
I really enjoy the ego-free zone, energy, inspiration & talent on this site. ♦
I compose with ..
Yamaha MM6 keyboard
Ableton Live9
Dell laptop
Sennheiser headphones d(".")b
Arturia Analogue Lab and Minilab
EWQL Gold
Drums tracks composed on G-Stomper & Ableton
& A dash of inspiration
I hope you enjoy listening, constructive comments are always welcome :...
Thanks
