The Magician (Soundtrack)
Thanks Dan I really appreciate it,!
Hi Andy. You may never read this but it is a Tuesday Afternoon (there' a song there somewhere...;-)) and I am waiting for a download to finish on my computer. It's taking forever so I decided to go to your page and listen to some of your music. Some of it I haven't even heard yet. I must say, this piece struck me as being so wonderfully imaginative and a real wonder to listen to. You have a real gift Andy and I thank you for choosing to share it with the world.... Dan
Andy I`m having an AndyF morning and never heard this one before so quite a treat :) Ant
Tremendous track..ever moving and powerful..but with a twist of uncertainty..excellent have rated
Oh dear me... This is quite extraordinary! Such good quality sounds coming from a computer program! LoL I love the flow of this piece. Very euphoric and at times valient! Your music belongs in the great concert halls, or even on the big screen! Kudos, good sir! :) -Phenom
Wow, this is amazing. Love the crescendo up to the choirs. Like something straight from the cinema. Great music for visualising and storyboarding. Like the title, it puts the listener on the right track for a musical journey. The change at 2.15 was great and teh pianos that followed kept the track moving. There was a bit of a festive feel to it with the Christmas bells ringing and nice upbeat tones towards the end! Rated and nominated.
A wonderful, dramatic and epic track in its execution. It has such a grand feel to it, like you do so well. As with all of your tracks, it is such a high standard, and inventive. I really liked it. ONAGER
Spectacular Andy! When I reflect back on my time here I can't help but think of you. Thank you so much for being you! Your talents have always impressed and amazed me. If this were the Land of Oz you would be the wizard! I wish you nothing but the very best my good friend and coach! ((hugs))
great orchestration and arrangement. movie material indeed. the sound quality is excellent. sounds like you have an orchestra hanging around the house :)
Andy, i swear i've commented on this! I've listened to it loads! Its excellent, can't beat scores like this, great movie potential. rated
I agree with what GETE says. The gaming world could use your excellent skills Andy. This is a brilliant vibrant piece. I get the feeling of galleons on the open water, their sails filled cutting through the water with dolphins swimming beside them. Then as Gete mentions the battle scene. Pure excellence. Rated. Barry
missed this 1,very far removed from your last few,the name of the track says it all, very suprised youve havnt been picked up to score films, starts of magical then i got the impression of a great battle scene then a nice sprinkly mellow vibe building up to some massive sounds, great stuff excellent instrument/synth skills, maybe the gaming mod community would use your tunes,

To be honest i know nothing about this style of music except to say that if this was going on in the background of a film i was watching it would get my heart pumping if it was at an exciting part of the film. You certainly know how to use they orchestral sounds my friend. If there are scouts on this site surely an offer is on the table. good luck with this Stevy
Extremely lush and bright. Very imaginative.
how do you do it? nom
impressive sounds throughout.
Thrills'n'trills! An excellent piece indeed..
Andy, you are such a great musical craftman having the abilty to create the most moving pieces. This track is subtle with a capital S, but suprises delights and explodes into action with the magical use of all kinds of instrumentation. Thrilling and enormous! Brilliant and beautiful. :)
Well Andy, you do seem to be creating some wonderfull stuff these days, Iv'e always enjoyed your music as you know, but everything you come up with recently just gets better every time, and no exception here... probably not good to compare with previous offerings as all are different, but this is really good mate, it's got everything, and as always creates the images that refelct the music, I can't fault it.. I think its magic!!!!
Andy please make more music like this! A lot of your stuff is a little too soft and gentle for my tastes, but this has power and majesty! I'm only sorry I used up my nominations for this week, but its more than worthy of a rate from me.
This is huge, Andy! Most songs heard here I'm hunched over the keyboard, working out commments, this one pushed me back in the chair and came on like a tidal wave! "Soundtrack" eh? Film would be a waste, 2 ears and a spark of imagination is all one needs to thoroughly enjoy this. Very well done.
Magical piece indeed Andy, wonderful build up with the percussion, for me always a stand out part of your tracks.. the vocal pads and brass parts are well played and the whole production has that Magic element that is Andy, also getting a little christmas vibe with this piece, and as others have already said, so many of your pieces including this one are so suitable for film use, excellent stuff again mate :)
This would make a great computer music soundtrack also I think. You are an artist who paints with on a large sound canavas and you are a magician yourself. Wonderful again.
Beautiful dude. Great imagery and no-nosence brass power tempered with lush tinkles and wintery elements. I got a winter vibe dunno why!!! Duff note at 2:28 but other than that faultless and rated.
Wonderful! Plenty there to keep me interested =) Very intense...great build up...love the choice of percussion...MAGIC!! =D
To be honest had no issues with the first version at all, but fair's fair this new version is better, particularly the beginning which is just brilliant. Enjoyed it purely as a piece of music, and all of your pieces since you upgraded your gear have been uniformly amazing. Classy stuff indeed. Rated
Wow. This is a powerful piece of music. The instrumentation is intriquing. It sounds like a movie sound track. Dark and serious but parts are light and hopeful. Violins are soothing. Triangles, strategically placed.
the drums at 0;45.....brill...and that chord change at 1;30....wow that is fantastic....couldnt have picked a better place to take it there!. 2;30 to 3;10?...kinda broke the flow a little for me, but it charged on again after that. I gotta say this is just superb....and, as someone said to me VERY recently....`u cant do no wrong at the mo` ...ur on a roll!` Fabby m8....u get both buttons from me!
yup this is very much suited to something made for Disney...i get a Fantasia feel with this but probably made more for film than cartoon... very nice strings...the percussion for me in this is my fav and sets the mood perfect....nice changes as well :) yup its another winner dude...the ending came a little to soon but i liked the way you ended it thumbs up
Very descriptive piece Andy. I think this has a fairly serious side to the Magician as he has forceful personality and his magic is strong. Great use of percussion here Andy. Rated.
Lovely, imaginative journey you are taking us, Andy, full of wonder, playfulness and suspense and I can see it grabbing the attention and leading the emotions of the spectators while a magician is conjuring up his surprises. Love the rhythm of the brass, very uplifting, and the lightness and cheerfulness of the following strings. Lovely harp sounds also and yes, this time I had been consciously listening to your percussions ;-): Well done on them, they add dramatic moments and highlight some parts very well. Thumbs up!
Hi Andy....apart from one little slot 2:30-3:05 approx...this was just so exciting and multifaceted that my imagination was conjuring up the entire scene...flouncing cloak, deft wand touches, racing across stages or perhaps rooms....very very reminiscent of Fantasia which was an awesome piece...remember? But that tiny slot (above) interrupted the whole excitement thing I had going and was a little bit strange in there for me. Like there was a separate romantic film going on at the same time and I was trying to watch both if you get my drift. It don't belong...well that's how I see it...others might disagree with me. Definitely got huge potential again....well done!!!
Hey Andy, Ooh like this very much!, love the intensity in your music here, and the way it builds up, and the seriousness in it. God want this in a movie!!! Another one of your brilliant tracks - Well Deserved Rate!, from one of your greatest fans! Sonya Stewart.
Hi! I have been interested in music since an early age and now enjoy making tracks with the various software available.Such as Edirol, EWQLSO and my new addition, Miroslav Philharmonik which has some strings to die for, all this sequenced in Fruity Loops. I now seem to concentrate on composing Classical Soundtrack material. I also enjoy rearranging tracks in collaboration with the awesome talent on show here. Please stop by anytime and enjoy! The Chambers album has been accepted in the Music Dept of the National Library of Israel and hopefully will be added to the holocaust museum there.

I really enjoyed the melody. Loved the flute.... more than the bass :)
If I had my music software working, I could put my finger on it, but overall, just loved it!
Seeing as how I have been completely laid up for the past two doing doing nothing but honking into a handkerchief and spluttering like a man drowning (Ed: just a seasonal cold, tut tut poor reviewer), it seems appropriate that I should come riding back into the fray on orchestral wings. On second thought, after that sentence, maybe I should just go back to bed. Andrew Foyston (to give
Valour and Honour – Andy F- Essence Review Well, what can I say? It’s a huge track and no one can deny! Huge sounds, very dramatic indeed! I’ll try to skip the obvious comment of “this should be in a film” because it is obviously your intention Andy, to make your tunes fire the imagination and conjure up all kinds of themes and scenes to which your tracks could be impl
This an immensely dramtic and emotional piece of music. It's actually difficult to think where to start. The beginning is probably the best place. The haunting melody at the beginning truly sums up the emotion I can only imagine would be felt by prisoners being taken to the gas chambers. The bells add a nice touch, hinting to everyone that death is close. You can almost smell the mud and
Andy wondered if i was up for classical pieces when he submitted this for review! Good news is, yes I am! I have always loved orchestration, as does everyone if you really think about it. Whes used to it's full scope, 'classical' music fully captures and envokes all the feelings and meaning that modern music strives to recreate in different ways. Andy's 'The Last Galleon' does just that, the sus
T'was brass monkey weather time, three years ago, I reviewed a track called Di Da Mix (October 2003) and although liking its content (a little), disliking its production (even littler) and thoroughly berated the composer to get serious about his sound. AndyF (yep, you guessed it) obviously did because as many of you know, he's been in here plugging away ever since and btw, he did get s
Currently number one in MP3 Unsigned's Official chart, DHGC is a collaboration from two artists I have come to know very well, one for a very long time and one I've met within the last year. I first met AndyF a million years ago on another site when I reviewed his first track Di Da Mix (October 2003) and liked it. That hasn't always been the case, not because Andy isn't a good musician
Call me a sycophant if you like, I just don't care. I am bowled over by the undoubted talents of Andy F, and his latest track, Tears, is no exception. Building his orchestration around the superb vocals of Amy Caldwell, the loving care and attention given to this crisp and professional work is evident from the outset. It's always easy to eulogise over great songs and, naturally, personal taste c

ONE NOTE FIRST - “Although I am not totally into classical music, this song certainly has made me become interested in it. Fantastic score, fantastic instruments, fantastic feel to the song – HIGHLY RECOMMENDED” Review – Starting off smooth, the piano work done at the beginning is great, although could have been uplifted a bit to hear it a bit better, but with all the other instrument work
