New York based Fiftyfour aims to create a new sound blending elements that are melded together to become cutting edge. Their sound has many layers of influence from the beats of underground hip-hop to the introspection of indie rock, from the heaviness of Sabbath to the gentleness of John Coltrane. Steering clear from the pretentiousness of "nu-metal" or "rap-rock", they have played such famed clubs as CBGB's and Northsix with national acts such as Strapping Young Lad and Alien Ant Farm.
