This song takes me straight there....
Wrote it a couple of years ago and have finally got round to recording it properly. Percussion sounds courtesy of the Loopmasters CD I won :-) Sep '07
Sorry for missing this earlier Martin. Smooth vocal performance from you, which I've always been a fan of your voice & songs! Lovely Saturday love song! Well written and performed Martin! :) Carol Sue
likin them wee toms and the plinky thing, ,the musics slightly 70s cheese but thats its whole charm, vocals completly lift the track out of that area, well done on those sound good, brought a smile to my face, great wee track, easy thumbs up:)
Don't mind the vibraphone. Mebbi lower it a tad but a cool tune and rated. "Lazy Saturday" vox would benefit from harmony but gets a rate from me dude.
thought i would swing in for a listen, like it, nice start, smooth intro moving into a kind of soundtrack style of music. Well, it's painting a picture in my mind and I like it, production sounds quite flawless, all good stuff, nice work fella. have an r for a good piece.
Nice song and the effect work for me, laid back - a chillin kind of vibe, thumbs up here.
this is very different...i like your vocals on this martin...different to how you normaly project them...its groovy innit? very laid back lounging groove to it...i quite like the vibrophone but it do feel it clashes with the clip clop in parts...i havn't a clue what the clip clop is :P so its my refrence to the percusion...very enjoyable...i think you could probably help yourself out here with the clashing by panning it :) other than that very much enjoyed thumbs up
Lovely smooth vibe you've got going here - nice rolling percussion; have to say I also find the vibraphone a bit overused here, and agree with the comments about the vocal harmonies, but it doesn't stop this being a real nice chilled melody... All the best with it, Jon.
Groovin! and what a nice groove it is? It's a good song, nice melody, and instumentation is nice, like the vibraphone (if that's what it is) it's a domestic bliss song eh? Yeah very enjoyable, agree with Andy a bit of harmony would be nice in there, but doesn't detract from what is a very nice song.
Love this Martin( as I sip a cool beer!!)Nice vocals good lyrics.Love the percussion just sits in there well.Laid back it surely is.Would have liked maybe some harmonies but hey what do I know about vocals anyway??? rated my friend. Take Care Andy :)
Yeah this is very nice man!.....has a very nice laid back groove. Great instrumentation too. And a very well written song. VOcals are spot on aswell! Excellent work Martin! Very enjoyable. Mark
Laid back lounge intro from another time. Cool and warm at the same time.
Cool track, very nice feel to it, I detect a bit of a Pet Sounds feel to the arrangement so I was very much into it, nice musical bass line, vibraphone, percussion. Nicely understated vocal. Might be nice with some vocal pads on it, maybe a counterpoint vocal, mmm liking it more on listen two, it's a proper grower of a tune :) Rated
Oh I can relate to this Martin....yeahhhhhhhh beautifully understate vocals and an excellent lyric which is so appreciated by me because of the way it embraces the rhythm in the phrasing. Pure poetry to my ears, my friend. Rated of course :))
Nice laid back song. Good vocals. I would lose the jazzy vibraphone/electric piano or whatever it is, it's a litte annoying. Other than that though, enjoyed. Rated. Craig
Great track. Very chilled. Pure post coital. LOL Excellent R
A music lover from Northern Ireland, living in London. Have decided to let the world hear my music, usually crafted in the dead of the night....
My passion is the creative and the song-writing process. I love taking an initial idea and nurturing it, developing it and bringing it to life. I find I haven't the patience for the fine detail of production/mastering etc. I think a good song will always shine through. I'm happy for someone else to add the polish :-)
Anyway, I hope you enjoy what you hear....

Oh by the way...I sing in a chamber choir in Ireland called Codetta. We have sung on TV and Radio(we did the BBC Proms in the Park last year) and have regular concerts. So if you want to hear some decent choral music, we have a website - www.codetta.net . It's rare enough that I hear a radio friendly track and think, 'WOW this rocks!'. In fact, so rarely does this happen that I remember the last time ery clearly. It was about a year and a half ago and I was driving to a mates stag party when one of the lads in the car popped 'Muse' into the cd player. This track has similar radio bound qualities. Althoug
My first review, in what feels like years, is going to be Martin Gallagher. Track is called, you and Whose Army The track kicks straight off, no hanging around and no over done intro J I’ve listened to this track, quite a few times now and quite a few times before I put the reviews up Martin is one my fav artists on mp3unsigned, it also helps that martins style is mostly in a sty
Well this is the third time around for MP3 Unsigned's Martin Gallagher and I haven't recieved a good kicking yet so I think it is fair to say he isn't related to those other Gallaghers. Stylistically he's a far remove from an Oasis retro remake and owes more to the old standard; credible arrangement, tasteful aural decorations and a trick at writing a catchy song. I admit I liked, very
How can this artist possibly be unsigned!!!!
Unbelievable talent that should not have to work a real job!!!!!
C'mon labels.... are you awake? Hello McFly!
Morning Fantasy by Martin Gallagher is a very enjoyable slice of 60's retro pop. Full of lovely harmonies and melody. You really are transported back to swinging 60's London. Inspired by a friends infatuation with a stranger on the way to work in the mornings Gallagher paints a vivid picture for your imagination to run with. With such a subject there could possibly have been a comical aspect to the
This is the first time I have reviewed Martin Gallagher It’s not the first time I have heard his music. I have heard quite a few tracks on martin’s page and I am happy he has choice this one for me to review, as this is my fav track of his. Vocals and the effex used work so well it reminds me of the stone roses in parts and that can’t be a bad thing. The lyrics are really well written and the
I first came across this contemporary acoustic artist when I reviewed his excellent By Your Side (December 2005), a track to commemorate his father. A track every bit as touching as it sounds and also one of the sweetest acoustic tracks I have heard in a good while - and it's a ballad. What surprised was the quality on display on this track, instrumentally and vocally Martin Gall
Martin Gallagher is a London based Contemporary Acoustic artist. I guess Contemporary Acoustic artists are armed with nothing but a good ol' Acoustic gee-tar. We hip hop heads need thousands of dollars worth of equipment, haha. I ain't too fond with Contemporary Acoustic, but Mr. Gallagher offered "By Your Side" up for review by the Dogg, so I'm gonna be by his side and give
God knows why this is called I'm With You (live) on my version. It caused some cursing for a while before I discovered that it doesn't matter anyway - the music comes across strongly enough that you could have called it Dead Puppy Gizzards and it would still be worth listening to. I've always had a soft spot for Irish musicians ever since I first stumbled across Van Morrison and the in
