My first Honey Thick experience! Seems like a fun band to see live. If you ever play L.A. I'd go check you guys out. Nice work, I'm gonna have to check out some more!
mm tasty.
A great all over sound quite unlike anything else I've heard on here, the sparkiness and humour help elevate the originality of your stance.
Been awile, just thought I'd stop by for Some ear treats, you have the best kind here. Vin
Not my genre but I see the chicagoesque comparison.Nothing wrong with the vocals as far as I can see or hear .Love the brass too. Andy :)
Oh yeah! Get a Chicago vibe from the intro! Like the rythm guitar...reminds of Nuno! Love the brass lines! This is a magical ride through various genres! Hints of Metal, funk, hip/rock , rock, big band, jazz and prog rock! Drummer and bass player work like a well oiled machine! Verstility abounds from this band! Vocalist at times sounded a bit monotonic and perhaps that is by design...but he has great projection and power and shows great dynamic characteristics in his delivery...not to mention pitch is pretty much perfect! Can't fault anything here really. Very talented and extemely tight performing band with potential mass appeal! Really enjoyed this! Now stop worring about meaningless comments and get out there and pimp the .... out of your band!
Brilliant! Tight performance all round and I love the brass sections!
I had been by and commented on this previously as before, can't hear anything wrong with the vocals, maybe some people didn't take to the over the top parts, but think that's what gives it it's own originality, no nothing wrong with vocalist at all! Sonya Stewart.
Nuthing wrong with this song or the singer Joe. Personal taste can be a strange old thing. Good old rock song - category alt-metal works for some but who cares? Rated and great production. I think the singer has got more of a UK style delivery and maybe the yanks criticizing just can't appreciate this? Dunno?
Another top track. Love the basslines and brass sections. RATM and Jane's Addiction sound to me but with your own sound too especially coming from those horns which are quite rare nowadays. Rated. Craig
This si splendid. Definite hints of Jane's addiction and Fishbone. Very well recorded tunes. Gotta rate it for it's total heavy groovyness. Smashing tune. Too easy to rate this one.
yeah i hear systems of a down as well...and some more less than jake and reel big fish...i think i said that in your last track....this one aint as poppy as well so suited me more... lyrics are a bit like my first rhyming book hehehe sorry thats not a bad thing just a bit cliqued in that way...i think the vocals are more suited to the music on this :) enjoyed
Great Track, You are Smoking man. Love it!
Hi Sonya Stewart here, though not my genre, good production, vocals & overall sound. Great track for your genre.
Intelligent blend of musical styles. Inspired no doubt by System of a Down, but much less abrasive and free of unecessary expletives. Again I believe you would fare better in the Alt-Metal category, where there's less competition. Rated this one as well.
Mmm, I think is my fav of the two, brass section sounds superb, just noticed you have charted too, so congratulations on that, really good stuff, cracking track :)
very cool !!!!
Kicking track! Lovely guitars and great horns. Welcome indeed :) xJade
Welcome to the site Honey Thick! Great sound here! Enjoyed your song and most impressed. From the songwriting to the performance and production - Sounding tops guys! Best wishes with your tunes! :) Carol Sue
Very slick sound you have guys, very clean, love horns by the way :)
From the East Coast USA, this five-piece juggernaut
has been breaking new musical ground since August 2005.
Aggressively fronted featuring dual melodic brass,
thick and grooving guitar,
coupled with slick driving bass and thunderous percussion,
their sound is uncompromising -
smooth yet dark, melodic yet chaotic, intense yet inspiring.
The attitude is focused, pointed and socially conscious,
delivered honestly and with hairsplitting accuracy.
Tongue planted at times firmly in cheek,
they are a band not unaware that
they are both artists and entertainers.
A must see live act, exponentially expansive;
with each performance new heights are achieved.

First off I must admit to being a fan of HoneyThick since they first appeared on the site. I've listened to this track a few times now and I'm trying to be as detached as possible and award points based on a system whereby 7.5 is what you would reasonably expect to hear on the radio. I have to say, I'm finding it difficult to rate this band lower or equal to radio quality because are simply t
This track instantly grabs your attention with the short drum fill followed immediately by a catchy brass hook which, whilst perhaps ever so slightly loud in the mix, promises that this is going to be a track worth listening to. You can also instantly hear that this project has been recorded very well and a lot of time has been spent on getting it to sound proper. Personally speaking,
good work
