Johnny O and the Nerk Twins...when I first listened I did not get country but rather mid 60's on speed! Then I read the liner notes. Reminds me of the Royal Guardsmen! Nice collaboration! Gets me rate!

I like the dichotomy of the story verses the music. Happy vibe with sad lyrics but at the same time it's like letting it go and saying wtf, it's over but life not only goes on but so does happiness. Authenticity is second nature to you, and Bobby O fits strangely in here like a glove. Good ears and great feel going on here.

When I heard "Johnny O vs The Nerks" in the chatbox I wasn't sure what exactly to expect, but knew it would be interesing. And sure enough any vague expectations were shattered with this thoroughly original track. Loving the background vox too (is that Johnny or a Nerk bro?), and the overall feel good quality despite the subject matter. Impressive collab! Rated.
