Heard It All Before
Perfect Pop Pj, lovely chord prog and melody. Thumbs, Gibbo
Yet another PJ Taylor piece of class. Easy vote my son!! :-) Good luck with your single.
Pop lyric doesn't get any better than this, and your delivery of these lines, these great hooks is right on the money, PJ. Crafted to appeal to all ages, but particularly that demographic that's gonna buy music, you've got a hit here. Enjoyed several listens, rated!
Another great track, great backing. Top notch singing as per usual. Really like those lyrics.......David
Hi Eric. I don't know what you mean. My comments to you and Rich were genuine. By the way thanks Terry, Andrew and Baz for your kind words on this track. PJ
hard to rise above the critical voice we hear...whether external, or just our own inner critic whispering ideas that keep us down and struggling. I like the topic, and the story in the lyrics. Good tune..harmonies are good in those oohs.. nice flow .Eric has good advice about lyrics...he is worth listening to on that score, and a master at it...I have no advice, I struggle too :)...comments will always be a tough thing...just be heartfelt ... Thumbs!
Hey PJ.. Scratch my last comment.. You and your cut and paste spam remarks should be banned from this site.. I should be banned from this website for this comment but there nobody in FUCKING CHARGE. HELLO! anyone THERE???
Hi PJ, I (and I am sure many others) can totally relate to this song, I get a feeling of strength from this, it's about being oneself, plunging into life in it's fullest. Wonderful singing, terrific playing, and this tune is pure GOLD! Cheers, Andrew
Always great to hear anything from you!! I think your work and presentation are always great!!! Loving the vocals and lyrics!!! This could be adapted into so many genres!! Thumbs up from me!!! Baz
Thanks Eric and Rich for comments. You both produce fantastic music and I appreciate your comments. I wanted to say to you Eric that to me all advice is good and my writing gets better with every song that I produce. I might be too old too but like you and Rich I keep the faith and passion going. PJ
Hi PJ This song has strong melody and a catchy hook. As I’ve previous commented on other work you’ve posted I think you need to put in more time on the lyrics. Flush the idea you have out. I found myself hearing but not feeling while listening. SHOW it DON’T tell it is the golden rule of lyric writing… I’ve had minimal success in the music business so please take from my comment what you will and then tell me to ... off. I always hated it when some know it all was trying to tell me what was right or wrong with MY song or music… It always ...ed me off, but many times the advice was right and I came away with a better song for it. At this stage of my life I don’t have to listen or take advice because I’m not looking to be signed, I’m too old hahah. But there was a time that I wanted that more than anything. Those doing the signing will be BRUTALLY HONEST and it will hurt. Slow down and rework the lyric. There’s no hurry. Study the craft lyric writing. I don’t think you’ll be sorry for it. Learn the rules and then break them. I hear the passion of your work… now make me feel it. I wish you the very best Eric
Hey PJ, I love the melody and lyrics here. Your production sounds beautiful as well. I know there are many young and old ones out there that will take these words and know dreams are worth waking up for.
