Love the new mix James :)
Have done a new master of this today - thanks again for all the comments and feedback and it was great working with Christy on this track. James
Thanks for all the votes on this track!!! WOW cant believe it got to No.1. Big thanks to James for the great opportunity to put my vox down on this song - love it!!!
Howay man !!! Nice song and the minimalism really works. Love the strings (?) and harmonies on this. Like David says - one to stay in your head.
Thanks PJ and DJC - also to everybody who took the time to listen and comment. Much appreciated. James
Hi James, Grant, Christy and all the other guys in this top band. Congratulations on another well deserved chart topper and I am very happy to see Christy get her 1st No.1 this week. PJ
Congrats on the #1! Well deserved, it's a beautiful song...I've been humming this for three days now :)
Hi James. I listened to this earlier on today and I wanted to leave you a comment and give you my vote before the chart updates. This is a beautifully composed song and you're right giving this to Christy cause it has her name written all over it!! A wonderful collaboration and I hope that this is another No.1 for you and Alive and of Christy's first ever No.1. You guys are masters at making music, doing collaborations and of course one of my top favourites on this website. PJ
Very well done!, what a lovely collaboration!, very nice.
love the reverb on this.. melody is amazing and of course, nice lyrical work, great job!!
Hey, Nice track you two. Nice melody. Really dig the chord changes too. Enjoyed this. Would have loved to have heard the drums kick in at the beginning of the 2nd verse. Just an idea I hear. Nice job!!! Thumbs up.
a really nice song like the vocals really good well done
Brillaint from all angles! All elements are beautiful and blend together lovely!!! Wonderful from top to bottom. I do have a small crit though, not a biggie and it's only my point of view guys so dont take it to heart! It's with the vocal recording, not the vocals or lyrics. The vocals are clipping slightly and in parts there seems to be too much reverb over them, like I said just in parts, nothing serious! Just my humble opinion guys, hope you would do the same!!!However, it does't depart me from enjoying this so much, because it is brilliant!!!!! Sorry for the long comment guys!!RATED!! Baz
What a great collaboration . Christy has done you proud. The guitar work sounds so crisp. All round a beautiful arrangement.Well done guys.Rated. Paul.
really nice the way christy interpreted the acoustic melody. everything fell into place, success!
Love those vocals! Nicely accompanied, James and Tony, this is a s!weet little melody you've given Christy to work with...I'll be humming this 'un all morning! Thumbs up
You made the right choice with Christy for the vocal. Lovely lyrics and the acoustic backing with strings later is perfect. Good song and well done all.....
Hey James, good choice for a vocalist. Christy has a wonderful voice and this tune is a nice showcase for her abilities as well as yours and Anthonys. Well done! Rated!
Thanks foe all the great comments guys!!! - beautiful song how could I refuse - thanks to James for allowing me to put my stamp on this ...C;)
Nicely done guys....Very nice vocal too :) short and sweet :) I could hear a beat in my head too...but works with or without... nice,Peace,Ricky
Great call James! I never had a girl think these type of lyrics about me, but I have thought them about many girls. These are GREAT lyrics, but Christy singing them gives me a nicer feeling than if I was hearing about lovesickness that you are going through- no offense - what I'm saying is that you found a way to squeeze the maximum enjoyment out of this song and into my ears - that's cool!!! LMAO!!! THUMBS FOR BOTH OF YOU!
This is just a fantastic track! I love the simple way it was produced and the performance was awesome. Christy has a great voice that fit this track very well. I was waiting for the band to come in and when they never did I thought it was even more unique than it did when it started. Hats off to James and everyone else involved on this. Great job on this and as always thanks for your kind reviews!
Wonderful song. I can hear Christy just blossoming into a much more confident singer since I first heard her on the site no so long ago. Outstanding.
Sometimes the simple ways are the best...simple strumming...simple vocal line...but each part superbly rendered. Christy suits this so well. James, as usual, great songwriting /lyrics in this. Nice ambient synth work too. Kudos to all. Thumbs!
I'm really enjoying this, what a great feeling i get from this song, great job you two..
lovely track. beautifully sung Christy, such a soft delivery, complimented by that sweet strum. My goodness what wonderful music is happening on here, this is a delight :)
Have to say I agree with DeggsyMusic about a bit of light percussion starting around 1:08, maybe something like the drums in the Shellie Nelson version of The Mondays' song "Here's Where the Story Ends". This song reminds me of that one, in all the right ways. Beautiful vox, mellow vibe, delicious music. Rated!
Great Start it dragged me in .... the Voice of Christy , very nice indeed ..... i had this feeling at the 1.08 mark , a Bass drum to kick in or a drum fill to lift it up a touch , im a sucker for build ups lol and in my head i could hear that , but saying that its an Acoustic track , just my thoughts... Love the Melody in this , very catchy ..... played it about 10 times ..... im gonna grab a download if thats ok .... Here's A thumb up :)
