What a fascinating story; one I didn’t know until now! This is an excellent accomplishment, Keith. I’m pleased to see that other members agree. You are one of those songwriters who makes it all seem so natural and spontaneous; almost as if it is easy for you, like breathing. You surely deserve your radio play—may it continue!
WELL...welll....I have listened to most of your songs. Apart from some minor mixing changes...I think you are brilliant. Great tunes and story telling. It is so hard to write a short story that is poetic and musical at the same time. My hat is off to you Sir. RESPECT.
Love your track Merry Christmas
Another sweet track. Man I just love your voice... Nice back story... Just a great song.
Really nice song here...
Love it! Thumbs up.
very talented, excellent tune
Keith, you guys always seem to choose the right words, i was in two minds weather or not to put it out this year, sometimes tracks can get to be a little tedious after a year or two, but i really do appreciate you input, Thank you so much,
All the best, kev
Thanks for the comment on "Inferno". Echo the previous comments about this being an interesting story. Cool vocal and instrumentation. Reminded me of early Paul Simon (not when he was with Art - early 70s solo). I enjoy story songs. This is really catchy Keith and i particularly liked the vocal nuances. Clever stuff. John & Paul.
Thanks for your nice words on my song! But listening at your recordings I think I should re-record mine...I can't beat you!
I like the lyrics of my song...if only you could do the guitar...;+)
Keep on shining!
Very interesting story and very nicely done. Keith your brilliance is dazzling and it shows on this one! I think this would be an excellent entry and it's not too late! Thumbs!
Brava! to her and Excellent works to YOU! Snappy, snazzy, catchy!
Sorry I'm so late here, Love it, great story.
Great to get the background to song, This has all the hallmarks of those gems you find on albums that are so unexpected. Your lyrics tell a fine story and singing as usual a lovely and surprising inflections. Love the change of tempo too. Great track.
not sure why the Spanish inflection was chosen to render some of this, but you know it works so well and I like that free approach...art history lesson...lyrics are intricately woven and the guitars are light...finger snapping too...so quirkiliscious...the slight Rit. in places is playful too...fancy plucking...superb track!
I love Satie's Gymnopédie No 1...Pete (Gravity Slip) does a fine interpretation of that one :) Tale of love, rejection, and art at the turn of the 20th C in Paris...delightful!
love story telling songs especially this one as it sent me on a journey of discovery.
Great tune and along with a history lesson. Really enjoyed this....thanks!!
a brilliant song Keith with great lyrics i will be singing that chorus all day what a mega song mate
Excellent storytelling lyrics and a catchy melody. Love the vocal and harmony, great sound on that Lorenzo. This is my kind of song. Big thumbs and a DL, great work Keith. Gibbo
Love a song with a back-story, did you hear the radio 4 documentary as well?
A bit of a Be Bop Deluxe vibe going on here. Very cool.
Very nice track, love those lyrics. A very interesting time in Paris. I must admit Satie is a most intriguing character. Has to be a contender in the acoustic comp............David
I love your vocals, excelent track and production, rated
I have often enjoyed the paintings of Suzanne's. I think I even saw a couple at the Museum of Modern Art in NYC 20 years or so ago. I like how you tell this tale of a lover's enchantment. A great song and very well thought out lyrically.
lovely stuff..well realised and clever lyrics. Left me smiling this did..and that doesn't always come easy.
This is so cool, I love songs that bring history to life like this! Clear vocals, and sung to perfection, I'm enjoying this melody. Guitar sounds great! No complaints there, at all....this is an easy rate. Glad you left the bass in :)
HI Keith, Absolutely fascinating stuff, what an interesting man, haunting composer, kind of a sad story though, I love this Keith, this ads a real human dimension to the exceedingly odd, almost otherworldly character of Erik Satie!
Very cool song. Another one that reminds me of Simon and whatshisname at times.Really good sound to me. I don't notice anything about squeals and the like. But I rarely do....
They say that fiction...is the truth, inside the lie
Here is my take on some musicized fiction...
Well... Ive been plonking away on me old guitar it seems, for the last ten thousand years...just to amuse meself more than anything else...written/recorded many hundreds of tunes in various states of quality...from recordings made on shiny magnetic tape stuff, powered by magic elastic band thingys...yup...I have the technology of a wind up clockwork toy!
Mostly acoustic..wandering into rock (but I aint got the voice for it!) I try not to hold any punches back, I musicize what I see or feel. My music is pretty simple, I dont think too long or hard about it...it either comes or it doesn't. Its the only place I can be honest...and ..erm..maybe get away with it! My mission: Complete an album called: "Songs The 70's Missed" Lol
I entertain me little self doing it...I would be delighted to know if anyone else feels entertained too...it makes it all worthwhile!
