Superb.... Voted.
This tune draws you in, great guitar riffs, nice lyrics loved the speech samples. The track overall is very hip sounding a great listen.
Hi James, congratulations on your 3rd week at No.1. Never seen anyone on this website hold on to the top spot as long as you and the guys from Alive have. Well deserved. PJ
hey, cool concept. guitars have a kind of 60/70's vibe. america..the medicated goo of the world. good stuff
very evocative track guys, enhanced by those sound effects, i wonder if the vocal could come fo// rward a little, no biggie just a thought?? great track.
Brilliant - just brilliant!!! Love the intro! C;)
I love the siren noise! It really adds to the tune and I think the distorted guiatrs work well to project the image your trying to show! Good work lads! :D voted
If you ever get the chance (or cash!) to go to America one day - GO!! I highly recommend San Diego and it's Catamaran Resort Hotel!! Back to the track - another top slice of ALIVE class. Hats off to whichever of you thought of the 'siren sound' in the track. Love the guitar work as well. Again, pure class, and no mistake.
great track boys well put together enjoyed the song a lot
What a fantastic song man~ That siren sound in the background only adds to the urgency of the song. I think the whole world is going through huge change and this song taps into the anger and confusion on the day... Great song Great vocals as well. Eric
Cool intro with the JFK and MLK clips....very evocative soundbites. Agree the siren type sound works well and the guitar works sweet...nice feedback :) Cool ending too....as Nixon leaves, tail between legs :) R8ed.
Hi guys, Congratulations on your 8th No.1. You absolutely deserve it!! PJ
Thanks for all the comments - much appreciated. The Lads from Alive
Cool song! Love the guitars, drums and vocals with that siren wailing away throughout....Lyrics are somethin' else, and while I can appreciate your perspective, I gotta say I don't think we're ready for the "k", we haven't quite gotten through our Wehrmacht Berlin phase. The reference to Lennon prompted me to think of what the world might have been like with him old and fat, subjecting us to far more of Yoko Ono than I can ever imagine tolerating and his never-ending feuds with Paul continuing to dominate what passes for news these days on the airwaves over here. Reminded of a Michener novel, "The Tell" where a group of hard core kibbutzim in the early 60s had a poster of the crucified Christ on their wall, with the slogan "hell yeah, we killed him!" underneath....Great song, guys! Love the ones that make me think as well as shimmy and shake....thumbs up!
This beat and aggressive attitude really pushes the emotion of the song! Good attack reinforced by good vocal and effects not too over done but riding the line nice! Oh, and by the way, I was raised in Southern California and your not missing much anything in America. I myself always wanted to go to Europe but I'm assuming you would tell me that I'm probably not missing much either.-?
You guys really did a cool job on this tune. I like the lyrics a lot on this one. I feel the same way about "Amerika" - as bad of a place as it can be it always seems to be countered by all of its charm. The music is (as usual) almost perfect sounding. I really dig the alert siren sound that runs through the tune. MAJOR THUMB!
Yeah let's keep blaming the yanks for JL's death hee hee (just kiddin rich, vin, david etc..) You know who you are!! Gosh it's short! OK I think all the vox needs to rise a couple o dBs. Dunno if ya can manage that. Lemme know if ya can't do a remix and I'll try a fiddle or two on the sonics dude. Tis an interesting song with a nice little funky vibe going on. The guitar in the rappy parts is good. Thumzup but for a song titled as such, I would possibly have expected a more cutting view or at least a wider perspective of the good and bad stuff. I guess it's like that film... History of the world... it could never do it justice
Pretty slinky riffin not far from Gil Scott Heron backdrop for word message . Atonal siren well good .
Energy abounds here with this lite political reference piece. An enjoyable listen. My only crit would be that the (rappish) vocal were a bit more prominent in the mix. It sounds a tad cloudy and deep in the mix.
very cool intro... lots of different vibes in here...intro reminds me of Oasis "Fuckin' in the Bushes" in style not sound... also get a "Strokes" vibe too...that be the main riff :) and I also get a "Beck" vibe in there as well :) really good stuff guys :) very much enjoyed...peace,Ricky
Kudos to Grant et. al. in this mix of ideology and music. Vocals are perfectly suited to this fast-paced track. Guitars are stellar. When style, instrumentation and message match, the result is a slice of AWESOME! Thumbs gents!
A great song my friends. Very moving lyrics that really fit the whole vibe of the song. I really like music that makes people think and question the beliefs and this one does just that. Great job Eric
Yeah baby, great tune loved that guitar in my left ear too, start to finish one of the best tunes I've heard in a long time.
Totally dig the song. Agree the geetar and siren do it for me too. Sweetness.....
A little different but very cool groove! love the siren and rhythm! Lyric is great. Brilliant guitar...very avant garde guys! Rated!
This is great stuff! A great song that is very groovy and feels right on the mark. Catchy lyrics with some jammin music behind it. Love your tracks and always waiting for more. Great job on this one!
Love the groove of the riff to this, reminds me of RHCP a little. It's very short and concise overall but the intro and outro seem a little long imo, would have preferred a rock out guitar solo for the outro. Still a great track though. Rated. Craig
Whenever I see a new track in the recently uploaded section from you I tend to get very excited about checking it out and checking this out was well worth it!! Liked the interesting intro cause it's so different. The low key verses were refreshing cause I've never heard you guys do anything like that before and of course a massive chorus which I loved. This is very impressive and it's good to hear that you are trying new ideas. As a big fan of yours you have done me proud. Excellent work. PJ
Really well done! I am totally digging this song. It was a little difficult to make out everything you said in the first verse but it's most likely my stereo. Great tune!
Love how the track starts. This is rockin'.Excellent vocals.Rated Paul.
