Getting some practice in for when i go on tour.    Im Mick Gaitens.  Sing a little, play a little gtr, and dabble in keyboards...badly.  Live in Kilsyth area, north of Glasgow.  I write  all my own stuff these days, and enjoy the buzz from producing a brand new track.

I use NO midi stuff in any of my work, coz i dunno how to use it!.

ermmmm.....cant say this no more...coz ive just started using it!...lol  Bah!...so sue me!

But all tracks are STILL  played live, in my living room, on the sofa, trying hard not to upset the neighbours!

GEAR:     Cakewalk Sonar 4 for recording and producing.  Tried sonar 6, didnt like it, so ill stick with the older one for now. lol.

I Use Beta `monkey ` drums software for the beats.....very user friendly.  Wav files of live drums, much better than a drum machine! http://www.betamonkeymusic.com/V6.html

Instruments are ; takamine TAN46C for the main part, Old Anniversary strat ive had for 25yrs now, The simplest of footpedal(single),  Yam 8000 keyboard for the ..err....keyboards sounds,  sometimes a bass gtr, and not forgetting the coffee, asprin, and gel cushion for my ass..    Thats it.

Usually, songs come out of something thats goin on around me.  I cant write about somethin fictional really like.....` oooo my baby luvs me, shoo boo bee doo` and all that crap...so, i hope that my messages mean a little, and u get something out of them.
