A Hitman For Hire
Talkbox lyric is often purposely unintelligible; Rick's usually talkin' about your mother, or about what he's gonna make you do before he snuffs ya. Ha ha, valid crit, I gotta admit I'm not sure what he's saying on this one!
Nice try with that answer Dave - but no cigar! I don't buy that the talk box vocal is purposely unintelligible....but, hey, I'm not going to argue with a hitman......don't wanna sleepa wit da fishes....
Top track again. Like the talkbox too.
Thanks again guys, blushing a little about the Zappa comparisons, ha ha! Prospero, lyric and vocal are a part of this sound, but just a part. Focus and they'll come out, or don't and let 'em blend in.
This is a total blast. Love it mahoosively. Musically the hook is very strong - but I can't make out what is being said!!! Again!!!!!! AAAaaarrrrgghhh!!! It's such a shame because this is really interesting and well put together.
good lyrics, i like the break section , vocals sound great and i like sax . wild track .takes you on a funky ride .
I admire the creativity that you put in your music ... and the similarities that your voice has with that of Frank Zappa
Happy Thanksgiving David! Spitting hellfire in those lines. (what are the lyrics in the talkbox....curious only).usual superb arrangement from Ricky. :)
Thanks for the listens, and Eric I call it rap too, others might disagree :D Ray, I don't have a drummer's hands or feet, somehow my tongue seems to find the beat. Happy holidays everyone...turkey day here :)
Very cool and funky indeed..easy rate A:)
Another cool funk track. Agree with ray and Eric..david your rapping style lyrics are really good..you dont stop for breath lol.Great music :)
Brought a smile on my face right out of the gate :) Dam what a lyric.. My hat is off to the writer of those fine lines :) Dave you delivered them too my man. I dig that talk-box Ricky.. Beautiful break. I always love the break. It's kind of like an intermission before act II ;) The brass is a nice touch. A real nice touch. Dave you have really grown into a fantastic rapper. I mean that as a complement buddy. I don't know what else to call what you're doing. Maybe you have a name for it? Really enjoyed this guys and great work! Peace Eric
Jeez, I still don't know how you manage to fit all this in rhythmically, David. That backing track is awesome and there's great keys work going on. Cool lyrics too BTW . Great work, guys.
Delivering the unexpected - David Joel Carter, Ricky Mancini & the occasional Stray Boot. And you thought that basement door was locked.....
