Ahhhh but Terry, let's be frank - no-one's all that interested. And I'm ok with that - the only person I have to please is me - no label pressure, managers etc. Bliss..
Quality track .
wish you would leave all the great music up...those of us who follow along take a D/L whenever we can... just in case. :)
It's a bitter and twisted world mate, I'm no exception ;-)
Thanks for your feedback and compliments Prospero. The low end will be cos i'm a roofer and not a musician lol. still training my ears at the low end ha ha. Replay on this fantastic song....
I hear you mate . Not surprised by 792 D/L's quality track mate, Dave.
Pro track. Mixing is good and I like guitars and vocals.
First visit for me, thanks for the comment over at my page :) Nice pleasant vibes from this, your vocal reminds me of someone but I can't put my finger on it. Peace,Ricky
this is still a stunning listen :)
I liked this from the get go! Nice song!
Tapadh leibh guys - at 600+ downloads this one rather depressingly overshadows all my other efforts, and then some. "Hymn To Her" is a far more commercial track imo but the download numbers aren't even close. Can't complain though - as problems go, there are worse ones I could have.....
Yes, very good track. Constructed well and melody you can hang your hat on.
Now 11 months later and still admiring the talent and creativity from performance to composition to recording/mix...that opening is a stunner..draws you in and doesn't let go :)
Good song moves along at a nice tempo but with surprising dark lyrics it works well. 'Stevie C'
Thanks Terry. That track was just an offcut - you've not missed much. 5 new tracks in the can - will post in due course (need to let my ears settle for a few weeks before final mix) under the new Plastic Palace People trade name. Happy New Year and slainte mhor!
Back for a listen to the archives...so glad you have kept these tracks posted...looking for that new track from just before Christmas...did I miss it?...gone?...point me in the direction for a listen....recall reading abut a new album concept for 2015...looking forward to hearing that. Happy New Year David!
The thing that makes this one for me isn't the intro guitar (easier to play than it sounds, whizz kid) but the deliberate dissonance in the chords under the chorus. You're the first, David, to tap into that I think. That's what makes it feel just a bit unhinged and unsettled. In terms of soloing the most satisfying for me is the outro - like an unanswered question. For the guitarspotters I think the guitars on this were a Strat and an ES175 (that's on all the solos I think - I forget now really),
Wow! There's some great guitar work going on there in the intro. Sounds good throughout, actually.
Interesting lyric, I like the bright upbeat pop you're using to accompany them with your rhythm section. The tone of that electric and the stabs filling in around the vocals hint at something darker...even someone unfamiliar with the language would know something's not "right" here...that's a compliment. Well done! Listened to a few others you steered me toward, "Medicine Man" reminded me of "The Pusher"; perhaps because I'd just listened to "Spirit of 69". Both good tunes, of the three this comes closest to the bar you set with "White Feather".
I guess I just keep popping up here...popped with 1 "oh" :)...such a cool vibe in all your music...appreciated the skills in music and lyrics that come together from a talented individual to create these pieces. A Prospero kind of afternoon :) Hope you're well!
Did I really just type that..."popped" Ha-Ha... :D
Just pooped in to have another listen to a favourite tune...this is a stunner....love it! (would have called this Losing It...just fyi :D
Nice song! Love the guitar part in the intro! Really catchy! This tune has a really positive vibe! Well produced too! Great job! Thumbs
I mean, how come I never knew about you before? You are so goooood! What's not to love in songs like this? It's fresh and new but in a lovely familiar genre....and man, you do it perfectly. EXCELLENT. I have added you to my recommended artists.
Very many thanks to all for your comments - I'll buy you all a metaphorical pint. I'd almost forgotten about this old track but - and I'm slightly bemused by this - it seems now to be getting loads of download (I suspect there's a technical error somewhere to be honest). Regardless of my puzzlement....I'm not complaining! It's really encouraging that a track that I thought at the time had a little bit of the old fairy dust but which sank without trace on first "release" is now, finally, getting a bit of recognition. I guess the only thing I'd change if i was to revise this one would be the drums (which are pretty ...e, but.....hey ho, there ya go).
Why wouldn't I come back for another ride on this train? . Such a wonderfully developed tune with something of a slightly- jaded -upbeat- way of portraying the sadness of this situation. Liked the lyrics..."All faux “tears to go”..." stood out as poignant LMAO!...super idea, finely crafted...vocals are so well done...got it all here!!
On all levels brilliant. Uplifting, great vocals.. nice melody and so professionally put together. Rated!
Happy new year man.. thanks for yourawesome tracks shared here.
Back for another listen. So good.
Such a great track on all scores. Anyway you look at this - guitar work, chords, arrangement, vocals...well, just superb! Enjoyed the sweet change at 2:40...blazing dirty frets! awesome! Thumbs!
Great guitar work, and a sweet melody. it works for me, especially the vocals and lyrics, and the recording itself, faultless! Cheers, Andrew (from "down under")
Still amazing!
Love this and has an America(that band) vibe and mellowness which is a tall order but this is obviously all your own and quite lovely.
Love it! This is a really cool track. Nice job!
Always a pleasing visit to your page, this is top draw, once again. download for sure...SUPERB!!!
I feel a steely dan influence in this song and that can't be bad, some lovely guitar work and superb vocal, great production, its got it all, rated.
Hi Prospero. I don't think I've commented on your tracks before but I wanted to say that this is a very nice piece of Soft Rock and your vocals are great. It reminds me of Cutting Crew's I Just (Died In You Arms) here which is one of my favourite songs. Guitar work on this is also very nice. Glad that that I checked out your newest upload. Thanks for sharing. I've voted. PJ
Like this I do....
