Nathalie Miranda, a fantastically talented 24 year old singer/songwriter from London, writing fresh, provocative words and melodies, which when coupled with her vocal range, give a new and exciting sound. Nathalie grew up in North London listening to her Dad's record collection. She says "I loved listening to Etta James, Aretha Franklin plus 80's big vocalists Whitney Houston, Cher, and more recently Christina Aguilera and at the age of 3 I decided to be a singer."
After writing her first song at the age of 9, Nathalie now has an impressive collection of songs written about the experiences of growing up, love, friendships and blossoming into a young woman. With 'Hotshot' going in at number 1 on mp3unsigned.com and 'You' reaching an impressive number 2, Nathalie has over 3300 friends on Myspace and has received rave reviews.
"I want to make music that matches who I am."
Nathalie's gift for creating pop music that does not sacrifice intelligence on the altar of universal appeal prevails throughout. Musically it is distinctly..Nathalie Miranda.... The voice to melt radios, the beats that drop either side of the Atlantic.
Like an elite athlete, an artist is hard wired to reach a goal and then, having achieved it, to raise the bar even higher, always pushing to perform at top capacity, crafting a personal best. It is her relentless spirit that fuels her.
"Everything that I do creatively has to make me work harder and hopefully steer me in a direction I've never been before," she explains. "If it's easy, then the excitement is gone because I don't like to be bored and comfortable when it comes to my music. I like to challenge myself and all those around me to get the very best creatively."
It's evident that she's weathered her share of hardship and has come out stronger, smarter. Here she stands, front and centre, ready to sing her song and after many years of searching for her sound, this performer pays tribute to the music that has inspired her.
A bold, beautiful home grown answer to the US Uber-Divas.
Full-fledged soul belter, the kind they don't make much anymore
