Very cool music and lyrics on this tune. Nice recording and mixing also. I love the sound when the song turns all instrumental - no offense meant about your singing, cause it is good - it's just that I don't need as much brain processing. LMAO!!! Thanks for the download!
Love the banjo and accordion. Nice tune. From one pub singer to another, rated!

Well you know how I like the folky stuff, and this is a very nice folky tune indeed. Nice melody, and lovely picking, like the rythm as well, and nice production etc.. it all works very well. Bout' time I palyed a couple more of your tracks on my show I reckon..what do you think??, I would love to give this one a spin.. does it for me mate... top tune, and a button pusher, certainly pushed mine :-)

Excellent stuff Mick. The guitar melody is a gem. Really clear sound on everything on this too. Your vocals work really well with your accent coming through. Really nicely written song, one of your best I think. Rated. Craig
Right up my street mate, the strumming and picking has a Simon & Garfunkel feel which I love. I love the way you have personalised it with your native tongue and instrumentation you have layed above the foundations of this track. Excellent stuff sir, people like you keep me listening.Rated for sure. Barry
You have a wonderful native tongue Mick! The sound is awesome,You have done it again Sir. Great!
Just another smashing song from you Mick! Do you ever stop? ;) Well don't! Do like the production quality and separation! Great picking to this celtic tune! Vocals are always a pleasure to listen to! Simplistic beauty mate! Love it! R8 all day long!
Aah, this one's a real pleasure, Mick! Enjoyed that intro (I'm partial to long one's myself!) and some really sweet picking here. Nice lyrics, very easy to relate to this, and a superb job on the vocals. Allan and Andy's got it right, this is pro stuff and I don't know why you're wasting your time here but I'm glad you are...Rated and nominated, this is very nice indeed.
Lovely track! Well produced...nice vocals and wicked lyrics...awesome guitar (banjo?)...relaxing...nice one! =)
came back to nom this... love it!
What a great track Mick. You can't seem to do no wrong at the minute. This is so crisp and the vocals are superb (as always)I agree with Allan you really should get signed as you have all the qualities required I am sure. This gets a nom from me Mick and a well deserved rating.Musically BRILL!! Andy :)
Gorgeous song, easily one of my favourites, guitar tracks are quite magical, the picking is flawless, with almost a banjo feel to rhythm guitar, lovely :) Has a folk feel as Dawn says, the vocals are great, the accent is quite light and I would sing in this natural style more often. Still feel you have genuine potential to sell records in the real world if you committed to it, everyone knows how supportive the Scots can be to a home grown artist, if I had even a quarter of your talent I think I might be tempted to give it go. A rating and nom from me too :)
Intro is a bit too long, actually....but apart from that, I really think it's the best I have ever heard from you Mick...the lyric is like the folk tales we have all grown up with...the music is the kind you never forget, has a great rhythm and jauntiness....and as for the vox....brilliant to hear your natural brogue shine through and no, I didn't have any trouble hearing every word. Must be worth a nom so there!
This is so cool... Dude this is a great song, I mean really great.... it has an endearing value, like it's a song you've loved for years, but it's brand new... you are such a good songwriter Mike, always a fresh turn and twist... outstanding man! gets my vote!
Prod's getting better dude. Expected to hear the full bagpipe jock job following yer comments about the track but no, it still sounds like you. This is one sweet song musically dude. Too p1ssed to listen too hard to the lyric but will come back tomorrow. Take a rate bro!!
Lyrics? Where?! lol Excellent production on this (first thing i notice) secondly the intro is mighty long, but a very nice riff all the same! The vocals are great mate, you've got a great singing voice Nice accordian! Whoa, not heard one of those in time! Great little number this, if your like this live Mick i'll happily pop in for a whiskey or five!
