Machine Death (Piano/Strings)
Huge, bold and dramatic, stunning piano work and some truly epic strings with beautifully layered chorals. Stunning piece!!
Ohh, I'm a HUGE fan when it comes to strings being used like that at the beginning. Not just tremolo, but also clustered as well. The haunting piano melody with reverb is so great as well. Ah, I love the ominous feel and also the big sound around the middle. You could write some kick ... video game music if you went for it! Heh, do I sense some Chopin influence in here? :D
Impressive intro and a really good piano work. No wonder for the #1 ranking.
machine death what a breath takeing production fit to be used in any film production top notch my friend
This has an almost ominous feel to it that turns very delicate and sad. Very cool twist!!! Very cool piece!
This is a very cool piece! Love the different dimentions and instrument choice! :)
Wow. This is cool. Quite impresssive stuff. Love the dynamics on this tune. Sounds great! Thumbs up. Wait for Stars
Amazing Track !!!
Dude, im speechless...... Blown away!
I knew there must be another that would resonate and this is most definitely it.. Yep, some things require little subtext. Awesome, wonderful, sublime.
Just sumptuous - at once both beautiful and sad. Actually, words are pretty superfluous......
Absolute mastery!! What an artistic beast of a piece Best iv heard in a long while here Kudos!!! Memory Life
By the time I had written the comment, I was onto your next track. Copied and pasted!!! Sorry Dude!! Now how do I rate!!!LOL!!! Baz
My first comment on the new site and it is my honour that it should be to KTA!! This track is all you, brilliant from begining to end,. Simply put, you are an astonishingly talented unsigned artist. I am sure this will change very soon!!!!!!!Rated!!!!! Baz
Great evocative track, beautifully played and mix sounds great. Like it that you have sort of developed a sound and image that is consistent, and also a bit different, certainly makes you stand out as someone to watch :)
Cheers dude lol
Well done dude. Have this baton
MTB mentioned Rachmaninoff and that's what I'm hearing, a fresh take at a very classic sound with these synths of yours. Excellent composition, and production is wonderful, great job Marty...now where's those complimentary anti-depressants? Rated!
btw love the piano mood changes (soft and loud pedal) how did you fit that Grand in yer wee studio? And all those choir singers? You got a Tardis?
Stunning. ABP. #1 if the site's working...
perfect
This is an excellent piece of work KTA, You can feel the Atmosphere in this right from the start, Very Dramatic, love the reverb on the piano , it Holds the whole thing together.. GREAT Stuff Rated ... its a topper for sure me thinks ...
KTA! This is brilliant. I love the classic piano and drama that brings to the table. Powerful is right! This is magnificant. The progressions are realistic and so energtic. Wonderful piece and am sooooo jesalous!! Take Care Andy :)
What a full and over powering wall of sound!!...very dramatic yet sensitive. beautiful piano.....RRR
Loved it dude. Just goes to show what a bottle of jack can inspire. The piano chords are fantastic in the big progressions. You're the dude when it comes to stuff like this. This is your trademark and your flagship track too IMHO. Cans have lost a bit of bottom-end but no-matter. Great dynamics - soft spots and really big swells. ABP - reckon I know who I'm handing over to next week.
Complemntary anti-depressants on the way out lol! That made me giggle.....wow powerful track....would make a great soundtrack to a film, seems your quite an all rounder and multi-talented! Bravado is the word that springs to mind for this track. I like the differnt aspects of it and how it tells a story. Actually I can imagine sitting in the Royal Theatre watching ballet to this music. Great work :)
Going Large on the pads I think - lovely and massive! You could hardly write a tune called Machine Death and make it happy really, unless it was a machine you particularly hated I suppose - lol You also prove that synths/samplers are capable of great expression sonically. This reminds me of Rachmaninoff at his most melancholic, which is 99 percent of the time. I love his music though, and I love this! It has a profound nobility to it which is very much counter to the majority of elctronic music being made these days. I still think you have the potential to be a great Trance Producer, but you do this kind of music brilliantly.
This really shows who you are and what you are capable of. Not in total, as I know you just keep improving and evolving. Such drama and visual stimuli that makes my hair take stand up with electricity. Amazing composing and even mixed in the cans sound beautiful outside of them as well. That takes good ears and you got em! ABP. -rl
Love the DRAMA Mart. Its vast fella.... the emptyness and sadness of death is all to see CYBORB SENTENCE-2010 i may be wrong with the title story? The descending chords are very powerful indeed and like Superhuman i go for this more than your dance only because you make it effortless.Follow up to Broken mate and all the sounds are there Choir/strings/Piano no more no less. The Konami team have a challenger and he lives in the hills in the UK.Rated and ABP.
really nice. love the piano. great feel to this...it's a classic 4 sure :)
.... me, this is awesome Mart. Up there with your best works IMO - I've always preferred your more dark classically slanted stuff to the dance work (just me though). Huge and powerful piece of music with some lovely sad melody. I agree with Craig, this one sound like a follow up to Broken (one of my faves). Seriously man, this stuff should be on big games or movies - Silent Hill is a good nod, as would be something like Equilibrium, V for Vendetta, Brazil or 1984. It captures a real dark cinematic quality, great stuff - will sneak a DL later and add to my collection of KtA tracks. Rated and nom'd.
Im with FXman....Silent Hill would suit better as the story in Silen Hill is more ghostly...The problem you would have is that Konami have their in house music team in japan and no one else gets in lol... Ive tried lol... This is a serious and strong piece of music...No question..It is worth contacting gaming and maybe even small film companies?...Good luck....great track!!
geniously produced. most inviting track ive heard in a while . you captured some nice coulours dude . great music at its best.. you thought of contacting a game company? i feel this could be in silent hill ect or resident evil ect ect. top marks. neil. rATED
The expression you've put into this is truly great mate. Simple and yet subtly complex with proper emotional content positively dripping from it. That descending motif is a killer. Top notch methinks :]
Brilliant. Once again you pull out all the stops. This makes a great follow up to Broken. Rated. Craig
The total package from you my friend. THis really is a classic and loved it from beginning to end. Gets all the buttons pushed. I dig the voice sound and the strings just prior to when it settles down around 130 (which is a brilliant part on its own). Really good!!!! Dan
Whoa.....this is powerful stuff....kind of Orpheus in the Underworld or like Ant says, Phantom type of thing...Get yourself a Tim Rice and you could rival Lloyd Webber I reckon....bravo lad!
The Phantom of Derbyshire is back with a vengeance. Mart this is fabulous work and so you. Mr Lloyd Webber will be on the phone before the week is out :) ABP Ant
Maqnifique.... is that how you spell it. simply excellent.

First off, let me say that Mart (aka Kiss The Abyss) is one of my favorite artists on this site. The first track I heard from KTA was 'Cosmonautica', an excellent piece of melodic/musical trance. The more KTA tracks I heard though I realise that Mart is always up for experimenting with new genres and styles. This track, 'End of Ages' is yet another track infusing a mix of genres that I have yet to
I love the sound of this cut. It seems well balanced and my computer set up for listening is sweet so I can really hear any thing that's not sitting right in the mix. The arrangement is well done and there are no holes in the recording or performance. The vocals are clear and passionate. The bass seems a bit thin and could use a tad more punch but I still enjoyed it all the way through. All i
Does anyone remember the film Bill and Ted's excellent adverture? and the scene when Mozart sat infront of a keyboard synthesizer for the first time and was amazed by the sounds that came from it when he tried to play? Well if Mozart was to hear KTA's version of his own classcial masterpiece, then i am sure, he would of been blown away. I just hope i am right in saying 'Cosmic Requiem' was inspire
