Bang the rocks together again
Good tune Colours. Thumbs, Gibbo
A warm punchy vibe from the audio spec. Melodic over my monitors so I don't get that click Mart refers to. Phones are so rude!
Nice sequence on intro. Some really nice synth riffs in here...quite retro to my ears, kinda reminds me of KLF in places. Liking the kick/cymbal splash hits and the subtle snare rolls. Nice breakdown with the ambient sweeps and arps. Cool micro-delay effect coming in around 4:40...luv that sound :) The ''rock 'n roll'' cut works well too. If I had one crit, apart from a couple of clicks on intro, listening under cans,I'd say a few stereo width adjustments would be of benefit...just a personal thing though. R8ed.
A reprise? That surprised me, well then, let's hear another interpretation of this song. This has a convention floor feeling like you might hear this at an E3 Electronics Expo. It would be great background music in a coffee shop too, in Amsterdam!!! Love the Rave elements thrown in all over the place, it's a real collage of sounds, very futuristic... yes this is future music. Very, very, VERY HIGHLY Rated. A sweetly satisfying song indeed!
Forbidden Colours are a Swansea (South Wales, UK) based band who discovered synthesisers in 1979 and, after years of study have finally found the little button that turns them on. We are Mark Newton and Andy Jonah, a control freak and fat boy respectively. We have been influenced by many people, including our bank manager, the electricity board and a hypnotist named the amazing Mesmo.
We would describe our music as having been written by us, musically, using some instruments in a style which is usually the complete opposite of what we started out to write, but which, nonetheless is surprisingly good. We hope one day to pioneer the practice of playing "air-synths." We are possibly the only Welshmen in existence who can't sing (we were thrown out of the choir for shoving), but we're not that worried because the music is the thing. When not writing music we generally tend to stare off into space listening to whatever tunes our inner DJ's spin in our heads. Contrary to everything written here, we do take our music seriously. Biographies, on the other hand...
Mark Newton: Vocals (well he calls them vocals), Vocoder, Lead guitar, Synthesisers, Samplers, Percussion
Andy Jonah: Backing vocals, Vocoder, Bass guitar, Synthesisers, Samplers, Percussion (tea and welsh cakes)
We are currently looking for a Swansea based vocalist, male, female, transgender or even hermaphrodite. (We don't care just so long as you can carry a tune in a bucket.)

This song is dedicated to all those that feel their life is nothing more than robotic movements to get through their day. Even their pass times are robotic in nature, go to the same places at the same times with the same people doing the same things. Nothing ever seems to change. At some point some of you may just want to stand up and shout to the world… I Am Done!Video at:
