Life's a Joke (mastered by R. Lodato)
First of all thank you so much for your warm review of my last song, along with your kind words I really do appreciate it at this time. Thank you. This is a really cool, and unique track. Love the groove along with the melody. The vocals sound great, and as usual there is some fine guitar playing in this as well. Great job on this track and always keep the faith!
Hi Michael. I can understand the meaning behind this song. Life can seem like a joke sometimes but I try my very best to be optimistic. Anyway I like your vocals on this and your guitar playing as usual is superb. Voted. PJ
Always interesting guitar work on your tracks and don“t often hear vocals on yours but sounding cool. Well done..
Lyrics with a message loud and clear, vocals performed with intensity. Inspired guitar solo that gives you a live feel ... In short, this performance has Everything! - / Peo
Get up...stand up...rock the boat....preach it Mike! Enjoyed your guitar licks and vocals..glad Rich came along to master this...well done Mike!
Hi Michael,, please post your lyrics... I need them.. Great intro... drew me right in....The lyrics are right up my alley... full of doubt about the world and the powers that be. GREAT lead!! Rich did a great job the mixing as well. Just when i was starting to think there was hope after all ... Dam now I'm ...ed off @ the world again. ;) thanks for that... All the best... and great tune Eric
a great rock track lifes a joke i like that it sometimes feels like it anyway loved the guitar solo and great lyrics a laid back mellow rocker which gets down and boogies with your soul top marks for this you got my vote
Thanks for sending me this track - I STILL can't get these players to play, even after the updates. Now, about the song... The bass and guitar that took me through the song sound awesome together. Also, love that lead - from the pre-notes to the end - tastefully placed. LOVE the lyrics!!! It sounds to me like you are inside my brain with these lyrics! LMAO!!! Great message and cool music - OH YEAH, I forgot to mention that I dig that attitude on the vocals - it ties the lyrics to the music - definitely! Great song!
Thank you to all that took the time to listen and also offer me some insight on this song with a comment. From my heart! -Mike
man has everything I need, love the sound
Wish I could play riffs like that ,man! You have that great gravely voice to compliment with it too. "Think...till you drink"..yep, done that a few times too! Respect. keith
A very groovy, and funky type blues indeed. Love the title, as well as the lyrics. The music is just to smooth, and the guitar sounds great as always. Great track and please do keep the faith!
As sweet a blend of electrics heard in a long, long while...great riffage! Attitude blues...listen close right now, yeah! Thumbs
I like your sound, very nice soloing, not that I'm a guitarist, but this is what I enjoy listening to. SRV, etc etc. Nice that you keep things going lead guitar wise in the verses too.
Wow, Mike! This is a darker, heavier tune from you...the heavy bottom is a change in the mixing...your vocals and lyrics are the star attraction for me...lots to say, and with some authority that I haven't heard...speaks of a growing confidence...good stuff...the guitars are what you have established as your hallmark, and you deliver again here...but I liked the rhythmic interaction in this one. The bass and the drums seem a little murky ...but that is better, to me, than understated. Well done to you and Rich for coming alongside to help you here! Thumbs!

I'm Just trying to bring some life back to real blues and Jazz guitar playing while at the same time trying to offer the best I have musically and creatively in hopes I too might leave a tiny and likely invisible piece of myself in these guitar strings of record! Hands filled with strings! Gloom be damned!
"Not really good at social networking. Not sure what it even means! One thing I do know is that their is some of the best blues guitar scattered throughout most of my songs. I sure hope I can sway someone anyone to just once be able to feel the way I feel as my fingers orchestrate the fretboard seemingly effortlessly. Doesn't happen all the time put when it does, these are the parts I really hope you get a chance to hear listening to these songs. As for myself, the passage of this kind of time are what make the sense of the simplistic purity that unlocks the soul and places it in strings in hands which churn tiny bits of time in place while the spores of true audible brilliance can dance!"

Flashflooding possible with extreme gusts of wind! Otherwise it's shaping up to be a Jazzy full blues-sky sunny rockin day!
