A lucrative legal career is a lot to give up. But that's exactly what ex-lawyer Melissa Forbes did to become a singer, establish her own record label, and release her self-produced debut album "No More Mondays". See below for album details.
Album Description & Tracklisting
On "No More Mondays" Melissa fuses jazz with soul, r&b, pop, blues & folk and presents originals, standards & jazzified takes on popular tunes (e.g. D'Angelo, Michael Jackson, Metallica). She seamlessly integrates her conservatorium jazz training with r&b grooves, producing an album of diverse and refresingly different tracks. Eight of Melissa's own songs are featured on the album and each reflects a different aspect of Melissa's broad range of musical influences and tastes. Released March 2005, "No More Mondays" is available in Australia at all good records stores and internationally via online music retailers.
