Alex Cullens is a 15 year old singer/songwriter from Scotland. Although he has various influencies his music is generally folk with touches of rock such as guitar solo's and roc k drum beats. His music is generally all original but he may cover a song if requested at live performances. He is currently working on an album that will be mostly in folk-rock and clasical rock styles. He is influenced by folk acts such as Kris Kristofferson, Van Morrison and Bob Dylan and also enjoys their country counterparts such as Hank Williams, John Denver and Patsy Cline. He also enjoys blues guitarists such as Lightening, John Lee Hooker and Eric Clapton. Although he enjoys many acoustic forms he extensively uses electric guitar solo's in what otherwise would be completely acoustic songs and adds a rock beat into many songs. His rock influences include Twisted Sister, Alice Cooper, ACDC, Black Sabbath and System Of A Down. Perhaps his music can be most compared to light folk and country/rock bands such as Aerosmith, Wolfestone, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Runrig.

Alex Cullens was born in 1991. From a relatively young age he enjoyed playing musical instruments. He quickly picked up Piano, Guitar, Tin Whistle and Drums along with many (more obscure!) instruments. He began song-writing in 2005 and has composed many songs since then [even recording a few of them]. He's even had Radioplay!
