IRON (Near Trance Experience)
This is Great Tony
WELL DESERVED NO1 :o)
Nice one Tony, there's not much you can't do is there? This sounds pretty dancey, both my left feet are tapping here....
sounds much tighter with the floating hi hats:O) still a great tune m8, sort the claps out they sound muddy and very short tail end, throw some chorus on em trust me bro they will sound much snappier and bright and to the point. top stuff, and not bad at all the production, this your first ever tune of trance ect, you did a good job hold that head up !!!!! peace out neil.
Well the mix certainly has improved since my first listen - and I still think musically the intro does a good job in paving the way for the vocal drop - your only other option would be to introduce the vox straight off - with a very short drums/perx.bass intro - Anyhow the phrasing is first rate throughout and the vocal hook is awesome -I also like that piano counter melody , that is excellent - if you took trance seriously you could nail it pretty quickly I think.
I like the panning job, the first axe is cool but sounds like it could be a little fatter in the mix, maybe a little louder but fatter would sound nice, the 2nd Axe at 2:40 is just right, What fx if any are on the keys? Sounds like you could play with those a little more, I always pimp out the keys to make them sound a bit unique, I also use a tube amp plugin on each synth, adds that warmth/fattness I hear in commercial tracks, the vox is cool and nicely eq'd, It's got alot of potential I can hear room for more in the synth/Bassline area but this is a good start, keep working on it.
It is very near trance but I would call it more like dance music Tony!!! I hope this does not distract listeners because this has the Black Eyed Peas sound to it and they sell bucket loads of tracks!!! rated sir!!!! Baz
First attempt Tony, very cool fella because its morphed into great pop dance track. The vocal effect is a killer autotune at its best. The claps at 4.50 come on mate drop the match of the day trance at that point lol.4/4 kicks and the offset hats are there for the trance feel. The thing i love about it is the new direction its taken. 3.30 the hold back is nice...... Pet Shop, Ralph Hutter and Tony Miller in the studio...ive seen the pics Enjoyed fella.
Well you have finally come out of the musical closet T-man. Real fun near trance track. Hope this doesn't pull you away from your norm too much as I can only handle trance every so often. This works for me though....
This is first version I have heard so can only judge it now, but I really love it lol. I wouldn't get hung up on the trance labels, just sounds like a cool pop track with a 4/4 beat, like Buggles with a trance beat lol. I like pop music, so make no apologies for loving it without any qualms. Personally found the cool vocal autotuney effect brilliant, perfect for song. I just like it, so there lol :)
footy match was intentional! cheers. New version up which addresses a few things...
I like it Tony , nice work , i like the fx on your voice and the stutter FX, nice synth work , not to sure about the claps at the 4:52 mark sound like clapping at the footy match . just me i suppose. Tony Miller goes Trance who'd a thought. Gets a thumbs mate
kraftwerk meets trance:) il sort your hats out for you if you want me too m8
Whatever genre it is,it's a catchy track with some nice synthwork. It definitely has elements of trance IMO,but it's more of a crossover track.Nice work anyhoo Mr M.
Don't mention Hats - they're giving me all sorts of problems on this one!
I like it Tony! It is a brave thing to do to delve into areas of newness! Hats off to you Sir! Well Done Andy :)
Not easy to stray into this genre but you had some great teachers and we think you have pulled it off Tony. Unusual intro and it's a grower as you add more layers. By the time it got to 2 minutes we were well into it. Well done and look forward to the next one!
clap sounds better for me :) still don't think the intro does much for the track...but from 1:40 till the end...kick ass :) peace,Ricky
Intro modified. Claps replaced. Extra bass layer added.
this your first ever attempt @ trance? im going to be honest here, when i first heard the intro i wasnt that much impressed, the bass kind of put me off a little, but, lol always a but, when it started to build up and go into the main drop, i gotta hand it to you dude. you seem to have pulled off a rock/ trance tune, lolol this is the stuff i been waiting for, kick ass arp,s kool pads , change that bass and your onto a winner, make it more punchy, play around with the decay on the bassline m8.. oh yeah the vox are 100% fresh nice vox.. id love to remix this m8.if you want me too pm me , id like to see a fxman rmx lol. rated bud top marks!!!!
Great feel, very early black keys. Very intriguing structure.
'Faithless' is ,at it's heart a rather bitter, nihilistic message, securely aligning itself firmly within the 'nowt out there but thin air, and whatever perceptions yer wanna take from that' camp. The conclusion (more a dejected sigh than an outro) is as pitiless it is short, speaking of wasted lives, futile clinging to the same 'faceless gods', and then death... without even a decent rewar
Come on everyone do I really need to convince you that this song is GREAT! Have a listen. Tony Miller, he is persistant. One great song one after the other. Why? someone please tell me why we are not getting this mainstream? My ears never lie and my heart is always true so with my tongue I say this to you I rated everything 10 and I'll do it again. Rhinestone I think not, He is a Diamond fo
