You Made A Fool Out Of Me
I think its a great name lads, simple and has meaning. The tune is a good one and i like the uplifting step up.The only mix crit i have is the guitar should be a down in the sections when you sing , think that's what Dawn hears too.Love the big power chords.First tune and its a good un.Keep em comin.
Great name for the band and such a catchy song too, instantly singable chorus. Well done Roger and Deggsy. Easy vote. Gibbo
great lyrics 3000 miles a lot of thought and love and angst went into this
Great song writing. Love the oppening to this one that leads into a great tune guys. Just could do with a lil more bass in the mix i think? Realy did enjoy cheers :)
First of all thank you so much for your kind words, and review of the last song I put up. I really appreciate your thoughts for me right now. This is a great pop song for sure. Love the way the drums pick up around 0:40 and throughout. A very commercial sound, and I mean that in a very good way. Love the overall vibe, and really this track just feels good no doubt. Great job and always keep the faith!
Hey guys. I thought I knew that voice. I listened before I read your bio. Got a nice blend of country and rock rolled into this one. Fine work especially considering that your so far apart. I think you've got a real good start to a great song. My only crit would be to flush out the lyrics a little more. I found myself wanting just a bit more in the way of your story. I know it's hard but I think it would be well worth the time as you've got a great melody/hook on this. Anyways sweet track. All the best to you Eric
Great song you guys...love that 'chuggy' bass line too for a really dynamic song! Catchy, upbeat chorus...Great name too...well done, give us some more fella's!.. keith
a really good song this with lots of energy its what pop music should sound like a very enjoyable listen and is very catchy
Thanks for all your Comments , Appricated .... Dawn thats just my Bad Mixing Dawn Lol !!! Will have a play around .... Thanks :)
Good lyric! Music as always golden, Degs. The vocal is good but in places hard to hear in the mix...kind of sounds a little muddy in places. But I sure enjoyed this one boys.
I had a listen and think this chune has a outstanding melody and chorus. It works really well. Its really good songwriting compostion and delivery. Lots of potential... be interested to see more of your work.
Hi Roger and Derek! This is a very professional sounding collab, where the contributions of both participants seem to fit so well together! I guess, you have a great future coming. The team name "Three Thousand Miles" is an excellent choice for an Internet collaboration! - / Peo
HI Roger and Derek, I love this, excellent arrangement, singing, production, wonderful guitar work builds momentum all the way through, this is quality songwriting, and I love the lyrics, so true indeed! Cheers, Andrew
Liked the way the start held back and then opened up. Chorus lifts nicely, RJ's voice is a gentle melancholic muse, while Derek continues to develop his ability to support the vocals with rhythms and sounds that move this along so nicely...enjoyed the guitar work (RJ?)..well done guys...pic should be of a row boat with wheels for that trans-Altlantic information highway :) Thumbs!
Great work guys, love the pace picks up on the chorus. Some nice guitar work. Looking forward to hearing more from this dynamic duo............David
Great to hear another song from you two under a different name. Your collaborations are always good and I love the chorus on this one. Well done guys...
I dig the name of this collaboration and I like the story behind the way it came about. But most importantly I like the music that you create! Never doubt yourselves! -Mike
Thanks for your comments on Player Like You. I really like your new name and profile pic. Moving onto the song it has the classic Wait For Stars touch which you both know that I am a big fan of. The chorus is fantastic!! Hope this song does very well on this site. Deserves to. By the way I still listen to your earlier work 1982, When You're Not Here With Me and So What If I. This is impressive. Voted. PJ
Three Thousands Miles began in summer of 2012 when Boston based songwriter/musician, Roger Bonsang (AKA Wait for Stars) and UK based producer/musician, Derek Evans (AKA Deggsy) struck up a friendship through this original music sharing website, MP3 Unsigned. They soon realized that they shared a lot of the same musical tastes, most significantly, their shared appreciation for 80s new wave and singer/songwriters. This resulted in a unique music collaboration between the pair that takes place completely on line by sending tracks and ideas to each other back and forth via email: Hence the name Three Thousand Miles, which is the distance between Boston and London.
Their collaboration process usually starts with some guitar and vocal tracks of an original song that Roger sends to Derek via email. Derek then builds on the tracks by adding lots of his own additional instrumentation and production ideas and sends updated mixes to Roger who will send more of his own tracks if needed. Derek then mixes and masters the entire song to completion. As a result, they have completed seventeen songs with some reaching number one on MP3 Unsigned as well as several in the top ten. They were also runners up for the Rob Papen MP3Unisgned, 2012 Songwriting Competition. The pair that makes up Three Thousand Miles sees no end in sight for their unique way of creating music and believe that their best is yet to come. Stay tuned…
