nice track, good lyrics good vocal style has a bit of a nick cave feel to this with its dark style has a live feel to this recording. if could raise the volume on the track would be cool. good ending like that, brings home the lyrics

I type faster than I think.

If you compress your vocal while tracking, that pesty click will be more pronounced. What I do is either sing the vocal after the recording is done so the only bleed from the phone is the track itself. Also try recording at lower volumes so the can can't pick up the click track. Now for my feeling on the song- it's dark and in you face and i like the slap back on the vox. Pretty voice you have and it fit here quite. I hope you don't mind my saying, you remind me of Natalie Merchant.

Nice eerie mood. The overspill of other noises in a mix is a bitch and not easy to deal with. The only way I know is to go to "Wave editing" and highlight the gaps between your vox and set volume to zero or silence, or whatever is the equivelent in your software is. Painstaking process, but might work.

Those lines bring so much back to mind....the many times I've wrestled with this stuff.. This is eerie alright, I'm quite sure that was your intent. And it's a stand...shown in one small way by not capitalizing those pronouns. Enjoyed several listens, rated.

Its great to get a song from you :-) I wouldnt worry too much about buttons, levers and knobs and such like on your DAW...just concentrate on your music content and performance...just like you have done here!...and hey presto...magic happens! You have that certain little something that makes me listen...quite a spooky little number...you have an excellent voice too. k
