Tex Nihilo  (Rock)
guitar-driven rock, with a dash of country and blues

Wet (Rock)

Artist Comments
Wet* - Michael Round, lead guitar; David Joel Carter, rhythm and bass guitars, lyrics and vocals; Cap'n Casio, drums. Traditional British and American folk music is rife with songs about smooth talking young men coaxing innocent young ladies into meeting them at the river, then ravishing and murdering them. These songs almost always end with a warning to young girls not to be taken in like the deceased, and with the culprit vilified and hung for his crimes, full of remorse though he may be. Tex Nihilo takes the scenario a slightly different direction. The Freudians among you may want to ponder a few questions as you listen: 1. Who is the "Laundress", and why does she get to dictate what's acceptable behaviour? 2. Is it true that sometimes a catfish is just a catfish? 3. What are "lead boots", and where can one find a pair these days? Tex Nihilo's "Wet*", all comments appreciated. * (title abbreviated to lure in the unsuspecting - bwah ha ha ha!)

Tex Nihilo

"Tex Nihilo" is the trans-Atlantic collaboration of Michael Round from Brampton, Cumbria in the UK and David Joel Carter of Tulsa, Oklahoma in the USA.  David occasionally posts some of his solo efforts here too.  Mike has built a reputation as a classical and modern composer, but shows another side of his talents here as a lead guitarist.  His individual recordings can be heard by clicking on "mykyndryd"  on the links listed below.  David is primarily a songwriter, and takes responsibility for lead vocals and accompaniment.

Several of these songs were put together with assistance from friends and family, and they are credited on the individual song pages.

Pour yourself into your tightest pair of jeans, slip on a pair of boots (pointy-toed, preferably) and let's dance!  Or take all your clothes off, turn down the lights, and we'll deal with whatever comes up.

David writes the original music as well as most of the lyrics for these songs.  He also plays rhythm and bass guitar, along with the occasional bits of lead and keyboards.  In his guise as Cap'n Casio he programs the drum tracks for most of these songs.

Michael's got the hard part, turning these quirky bits into songs worth remembering with his performances on lead guitar.
