Simple Things ft Corinne and T. Wigmore
Great mix, Great strings. Great vocal. Familiar roots but wide and warm distinctness, if that makes any sense... KB
Gibbo, cheers for being one of the first to take the time to check our page, personally really enjoyed Simple Things, lovely vocals and great lyrics, best of luck guys
Gibbo, Thanks for the kind words mate, Its always appreciated to get feedback from someone with your experience, cheers mate, kev
This song was recommended to me and i have to say I love it. Great vocal. Felt happy after listening to this. Reminded me a bit of The Corrs too. Johnny O
Just heard this now for the first time. Very catchy chorus, radio friendly and just as good as if not better than a lot if songs on the radio. I can imagine this as the theme song for a feelgood American TV sitcom (something like 'Friends'). Well done to all involved! Thumbz up.
Kevin, please pass my congratulations to Corinne on her fine song. In SIMPLE THINGS we hear a delightful, spirit-lifting piece filled with varied and interesting instrumentation that enriches the listening experience.
Another beautiful song...awesome.
Sometimes, I need to be reminded :)
Supreme songwriting talent. Like father like daughter obviously. Just know i'm going to be singing this all day now and I thank you for that. This should be in the pop charts - its that good. Rated. John&Paul;
Man I just love it
Hey Gibbo! I like this track! I love the song as a whole. Great vocals, melody, instrumentation.
Love Corinne's vocals in this, wow this made it to #2 on the Top 100!! Wow again!!! Good job, congratulations! This song is hot, and I really love the arrangement on the strings and the orchestration of this modest symphony is breathtaking. It's not too much, but more than enough. Just right Tuesday, great work on display here, this is another instant classic for me!
Really enjoyed listening to this song! Wonderful melody, exellent vocal performance, good arrangement. What more can you wish for! / Peo
I really liked the vocals on "Simple Things". Its got these Country undertones that, while maybe weren't intentional, are very cool. They add another dimension to the song. Nice job.
more great stuff from you guys..
Hi Gibbo Thanks mate, i wish some of the radio stations i have sent it to, shared the views of yourself, and the many other unsigned artists that have liked it on the net, we don't say its a classic or even close to it, but for the kind of song it is, we did think it may attract a little interest, if it only got a minimal amount of airplay, but it seems its not as good as we thought, but having said that, if a track isn't going to make them money, then why should they take the risk, Anyway mate , thanks to you and all the other unsigned artists for those words of support, kev Arkade Music
Quality acoustic coming thru immediately. Surprised by Corinne's voice. Someone mentioned country vibe below and i have to agree although the song aint country IMO. Cool structure and hooky and really nice backing vox. Stuff that I like!!! Maybe a crit on the low level of the rhythm track... I can hear the "tinkly" stuff but nothing coming thru on kick or snare much... just needs a tad more, not much. Thumzup on a sweet song gibbo.
HI Gibbo, I just wanted to thank you again for your kind words regarding my track, and once again, I am blown away by how wonderful this track is, it's a work of genius, that has a flow about it, it makes me feel a lot happier! Cheers, Andrew
That cello does amazing things for what's already a very good country ditty - sweet job with those vocals Corinne! Terry's harmony sounds great when he jumps in. That acoustic guitar sounds great, as does that bass and you've done a find job with the mix and production. Listening a fourth time now...this does go down very easy! A belated rate...wish I'd gotten here earlier, this has got number one written all over it!
Wow!!.. this is just a bit good! Melody and vocal gave me goosebumps!! This will be in my head for days!!!! love it.
Nice guitars in the intro and the vocals sit well. This really is one of those songs that stays playing when it's finished. Great orchestraion and mix. The whole thing just comes together so nicely. Cheers Mike.
Nice tune. Great instrumental and lovely vocals - positive vibes in this song.
Very nice song, really like the vocals and the backing music goes very well with them, especially the strings. Very catchy, good job!

Thumbs from me. peace.....silo
Poptastic. Love the vocal performance and the melody is sweet as. TMR
What a wonderful feel good song. Love this music this big time. It sets the mood of the song so well. Great vocals as well. I see this is under pop but I really think it would play very well on modern country as welll. Just great work from all involved. Best, Eric
Back for another listen, this is my last listen for the morning and should set me up for the rest of the day, I love the way this makes me feel so good...Thanks Vin
Ah this is great. My kind of female vocal and i love the country slant. That chorus is so damn catchy . Got a bit of a Corrs sound in some respects - especially the harmonies and aspects of the instrumentation. Could be a hit in todays pop music scene for sure. Excellent collaborative effort - well done all.
gentle art...cute song...i'm not a connaissoire of pop music but you do it well, the singer have a beautiful voice :)
This is a day of uplifting songs/tracks on the site for me. This fits perfectly...
Enjoying the upbeat country vibe, a genre which is a bit under represented on the site. Really catchy melody and lyrics, could easily be a commercial hit. Love Wednesday x
great tune.. done very well, love the vocals
Hey Gibbo, this is wonderful! Beautiful lyric and vocal from Connie and Terry's contributions stand out. This is a very pleasing and soulful track full of joy! Outstanding work and thumbs to the three of you!
This is a very cheerful and pleasant song. It's nice to know that people could live so free and easy like this. It's a nice get away from the hustle and bustle, you know what I'm saying? Hahaha yeah! The music is very nice too.
Hi Kevin, I can still recall hearing this for the first time and wanting to join the sentiment. Corinne' s lyrics and vocals as well as the energy of the melody and backing track you had created drew me in. Thanks for being open to hearing other parts and participation ;) Wonderfully crafted tune and gentle, yet powerful track. What a family endeavour! Must be quite proud having your daughter run with this and well done to you for supporting her song-writing with a track that makes this effort shine all the more! Well-done by ATP and Corinne! Thumbs!
I have come back and listened to this so many times now that I want to recant my original comment! This is perfect as is and I like the vocal just the way it sits! Well done to all. Great tune! -Mike
I feel pretty good after hearing this, thanks and keep making this great music.
Great tune, wonderful collab. Really like the backing vocals, actually there is tons to like. Well done everyone. Thumbs
A true winner here!! :) :applause: "Great everything!" ~Be proud! =Bravo=
What a lovely feel good song that puts us in the right frame of mind to start the day. Lyrics are so true - it is the simple things in life that are important. Enjoyed the confident vocal very much and the harmonies are great. Cello is the perfect addition. Good songwriting and thoroughly enjoyable.
A beautiful song Gibbo, Corinne and Terry, I love the way it cruises along, taking me on a relaxing journey, it's just brilliantly constructed, recorded and great writing! Cheers, Andrew
a radio friendly song that could easy be on radio 1 play list pure pop with a great vocals the best things in life are simple as they say and its so true
A real gem of a pretty song. lovely lead vocal and lyrics that are universally true and something we all need to be reminded of from time to time as the busy rush of life can blind us to the simple things in life. Background vocals are just plain magical and this collab is just so welcomed. So so easy on my ears.
I'm sorry, it's starts at the 2:25s not the 3:35s mark. Sometimes I can be a little dexslixic! Missed it by one minute ten seconds. -Mike
This is really sweet! I like the poppy vocal and the backup by terry as well! I just have to mention this for what it's worth (nothing) but I would like to hear more bottom end in the main vocal. Acually, I would like to hear lead vocal sounding just like what I hear as backup vocals from her at 3:35s and throughout till the end and the the backup be the higher pitched that is lead currently. That's just for your perspective and not to take a thing away from this wonderful offering! -Mike
A Tuesday Paradox was formed in 2008, a duo, Kevin "Gibbo" Gibbons and Byron Jones.
Byron Jones escaped the Paradox in Dec 2012 but his talent remains on this page.
Tony Gibbons wrote, sings and plays guitar on Never Gonna Let This Die, Byron on keys, Gibbo, more guitars and production.
CORINNE came to sing on "A Christmas Lament" and was responsible for writing and singing "Simple Things" with some musical accompaniment from Jones, Gibbons and Wigmore
Cure-ish, Floyd-ish and something else here that you bring to the table..gentle with a pinch of sadness and a latent strength all hidden just beneath the surface that glides and glistens between my ears. Absolutely lovely.
