"A voice that sounds like a lake of black honey." - METRO

"If Kate Bush died and went to hell, she might sound like London gothic folk chanteuse Catherine Anne Davies... kooky and spooky and very good." - NME

"Possessed of a rare sense of resilience and wonder that recalls Tori Amos, Joni Mitchell, and Joanna Newsom, Davies' delicately contrived but richly evocative material is worth seeking out. " - THE DAILY MIRROR

"A very special voice... it would only need a lucky break for her to hit the big time. Beautiful and brilliant." -BBC.CO.UK

"Brilliantly sultry."- TIME OUT

Catherine Anne Davies writes dark and twisted songs about breaking people into pieces and having your heart stamped on. Repeatedly. A talented songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer, Catherine is currently recording tracks for her debut album with Paul Draper (Mansun). She is also collaborating with Nitin Sawhney for his forthcoming album "London Under Sound" which will also feature tracks with Imogen Heap, Paul McCartney, Aqualung, Anouska Shankar, and Get Cape.Wear Cape.Fly. Catherine was also recently appointed "Emerging Artist in Residence" at the Southbank and Royal Festival Hall.

A Limited Edition run of the first two EPs is now available to order online at www.roughtrade.com. See www.myspace.com/catherineannedavies and www.catherineannedavies.com for details.
