K e l l y M u e l l e r Kelly Mueller is among a very select group of pop singers today that use the piano and songwriting as their musical weapons of choice. It is an added bonus that Kelly's curvaceous figure, alluring looks and natural blonde curls are pleasing to the eye and that she blessed with a 4 ½ octave soulful voice.
A great deal of Kelly's upbringing was devoted to music and her aspirations to succeed as a performer. Kelly was always a sensitive child, a thinker continuously soaking up her environment. It was obvious from a very young age that she had a lot of creative energy and she would express this every chance she had by drawing, inventing, acting and dancing. At the tender age of 8 she had the chance to put all this energy in to music when she began electronic organ lessons. She picked it up very quickly and was performing in town halls and competitions by age 9 and had completed grade 6 by the time she was 12. Kelly found it increasingly hard to stick to the songs she was given to learn and became known for creating her own interpretations of the songs and although Kelly loved the diversity and the challenge of coordination the organ gave her, she needed to learn something new so she began piano lessons. She completed her grades in classical piano and reached grade 4 in jazz piano by age16 but was tired of the restraints that grades put on her so she decided to focus more on writing songs as she believed she had gained the sufficient tools to now help her express her creativity. Although Kelly had been making up her own songs from pretty much the moment she laid her hands on the piano it wasnt until she was 12 that her instrumental song Freedom got through to the last stages of a competition in Japan.
