What Have You All Been Up To?

Not been on here for ages. Thought I'd check in and see how everyone is doing. As for me...I haven't done any music for well over a year now....got nearly an album worth of songs that need completing. I have just lost my passion for it lately...and other things in my life seem far more appealing these days. Thats not to say I've given up on it...oh no...you can't get rid of me that easily Have met someone that lives locally and wants to do some work together, so thats something that I will be starting soon. I know my passion will be reignited at some point... but untill then I'm not going to stress about it! So how about everyone else....any success stories or interesting projects??

Hey Sapphire, well I guess I have had a little bit of success as Boyana and I "sold" a song to a top Chinese actress singer but seeing as the wheels and cogs turn forever slowly, I can't say we've got the money yet despite all the legalities being settled and contracts exchanged etc.

Dunno bout anyone else, but until the money's in my bank, I don't actually believe it...still it's something that she wants to recoerd the song eh?

I think you are right about needing to get your passion re-ignited...in fact I'd say most people around here are in the same boat if the site traffic is anything to go by....still good luck wth the new partnership...that shoud do it!

I am now having DJ lessons ......the new guy I've met is a DnB DJ.....had a go last night...he reckons I'm a natural and said the short mix I did was very impressive ....so think this might be my new lil hobby for now...

Had lots of fun mixing last night...and he explains things very well...can't wait for my next lesson

Not playing much this past year... some of my past injuries are catching up to me. My left pinky swells after an hour of aggressive playing. The Dr. said this would happen some day. Scar tissue eventually causes arthritis. Bummer

I've spent 5 of the last 7 weeks in Mexico, doing my bit in fighting the drug cartels. I spent most of the time in Mexico City but did spend one day in Monterrey which is in the heart of Zetas territory. Interesting times.
