I guess your comment may be paraphrased by saying "how come the richest folk have nearly all the money - it's great that they do, but share some around dudes" lol and bring back robin hood

OK... we don't vote people to be the richest (or maybe we do if i were more cynical) and if we could maybe we'd vote for the ones that are the most prominant at being part of mp3unsigned i.e. ones who comment the most and genrally have good music.

I don't know your music Mr Nico but spread yourself around a bit more. Apologies if this is an alias for someone who actually is active on mp3u.

Andy (who always used to get to #1 with every track )

PS - to anyone - don't try and read some subtle little poke at alive. On 2nd thoughts, why not - some folk needn't change the habit of a lifetime and not have a go at me!!!

We don't share the number 1 spot we vote and whoever gets the most votes gets the spot, you should know this as you've been a member since 2005 although you seemed to be having a problem with the charts back in 2006 as well, one problem might be the link in your forum signature is broken....

Nico, you're a musician, I remember you from way back! You'll always be competing against yourself first, then others. Just like athletes. That's how we improve.

Now, imagine you got a number one. Then say you never got another song even in the top ten. Does that mean your music is getting worse? Nope. Voters are fickle. Fans are fickle.

Take a look at the Kinks. No. 1 - You Really Got Me etc, 60s. Ray Davies favourite album - Muswell Hillbillies, 70s. Last seen in the 80s with 'Think Visual' which I bought & enjoyed but flopped. Or David Bowie. No. 1 - Let's Dance etc, 80s. The fan's favourite - Life on Mars, 70s. Last thing I bought, "Black Tie White Noise" in the 00's, good at the time but I don't enjoy listening to it now.

I don't really know what my first point is. My second point is that you know charts get griped about, six years on it's time for you to sing a different tune. Cheer up and laugh a bit more, it won't kill you.

No lads your missing the point Im not frustrated , frustrated is when someone buys you a brush and you got no hair, Fraustrated is when you have a bath put your sex'es on and your wife falls asleep, Fraustrated is when you think you know someone but you anint got a clue,

what I am saying is every

Default keeping it real

No one is having a pop at Alive Hats off to him for achiving this, but how can it be posible to be in the top ten for over A year each and every week ,
not even a chart topping artist can or has achived this,

so either managment is pluggin him with some doggy back handers or he is having sexual relations with one of them in which case makes it perfectly ok.

This thread is not meant to offend any individual or managment but I think deserves an answer, are the songs judged by the qaulity of the track or the number of invisible friends you manage to seduce.

nico always keeping it real.

Songs are "judged" by the listener who then has the option of pressing the "thumzup" button alongside the track title. The more thumzups ya get the higher in the chart you get.

Of course if ya keep uploading the same track (as when you might be fixing something in the song) it'll appear on the latest tracks listing again and those listeners not bothering to use the forum will see it and possibly be drawn to it.

The facebook like button also can attract your facebook fans (if ya have any) to join mp3u as a listener and they can vote by pressing the thumzup button. This means regular bands with a genuine fan base are at an advantage.

Does it seem fair that it works this way? You tell me nico dear chap.

Andy
