Try (Metal) |
Track Comments A song inspired by pure will. The will to try. Based on relationships, and how people interact with one another to tell them things. You can't have something, if you don't really want it.

Through out 2001 Douglas Hopkins, Bryan LaCasse, Nick Disorda, and Grady King were all in one band or the other. Doug and Bryan happened to fall into Melancholy_Malice_ with Ross Lauver and Zack Kienast. Nick and Grady were fromerly Oak with Justin Brown, and Biproduct. During the summer of 2001 Melancholy_Malice_ fell apart due to the Social Anxiety of Doug. Dissapointed about the break but loyal to the vocals, bassist Bryan, stayed to write some of thier most inspirational music. Meanwhile Nick Grady and Justin also seemed to seperate, practices grew few and far between while when they did take place it was only two and not three, eventually it came to a stop. The following months held the most important moments. Sometime in Late October 2002 Doug, Bryan, Nick, and Grady all came together in a cold barn on a fall evening. With a little bit of liquer that day Doug was able to warm up to his new friends and sing. Music was soft, and heartfelt, not something any of us were looking forward to playing as a group but it felt right so we continued to play the songs Doug and Bryan had written acousticly. Eventually practiced changed location and they started warming up to eachother and listening to the music, feeling it as one. As soon as writing new songs including drums and bass they started to come together as a more complex circle. As more songs were written, the more positive outlook they had for themselves grew.
