yo this rapper overstepped some boundaries i think.....i got no problem with people of different races...but as far as the use of the term 'nigg@' i dont think it is apprpriate for people of other races to use the word as freely and openly as blacks will use it with each other. in my opinion, i dont even like the word.....but i hate it even more coming from a white person as it still carries that emotional sting....i dont want u to get the wrong impression...its just a stand i have decided to take.....i will never call a pakistani a 'p@ki' even though i hear themselves calling each other that....or i will never call white people white trash....i just think its overstepping boundaries. unless u were specifically given permission to do so....sorry for the ramble...these thoughts came after listening to MIXTURE  a hiphop artist here on mp3unsigned. i posted these comments to him on his site....i hope i wasnt too harsh cuz i never meant to....

yo i am kool wid u...and ur stuff is kool but i dont know when whites ever got permission to use the word 'nigga' in their music....i know u werent using it in a derogatory way but it is stil very much a taboo word for you in my opinion. i guess it is because not too long ago when ur greatgrandparents used that term they were trying to say black people were uneducated and of lesser value. i dont mean to create offence here but i am simply expressing my view on this. it isnt appropriate to use the word publicly. if u have black freinds that let u call them nigga thats fine......but dont be using it on these forums....

In my own opinion it is a word. Words are only given power by people. It no longer has a meaning and if it isn't used hurtfully I feel it is perfectly ok. I will purposely call myself a white trash cracker in mixed company for the looks and the laugh. While using any hateful word in a negative way is NOT acceptable...making a list of words you cannot say gives the people who do use them a power over you.

While I certainly respect your opinion because, and I am white so I could never understand the feelings the word invokes...I stand by my beliefs.

If you let the word hurt you..people who want to hurt you have been given a weapon.

no parental advisory against it, so it's gonna be removed.

If there was parental advisory against it, it'd stay.

This has been discussed before, we are not censors. Only ever had cause to remove 2 or 3 tracks in the past.

I'm not gonna be drawn into commenting about this sort of thing, otherwise we'd have to change the sitename to mp3unsignedmoralhighgroundandlookingtobeshotdowninflames.com

I realise tho, that we all have prejudices, maybe smaller than some other folk, but we all do, and it's not really my place to decide what's right and what's wrong, other than the really brutal stuff.

If someone complains about something, it's deliberated on, then dealt with.

My great fear is that, while trying to keep this site family friendly (as my kids like to listen to the tracks, especially Vinyl Clouds) we end up sanitizing it to the point where freedom of speech and expression of fear, doubt, anger and any emotion other than niceness is lost.

Like I said, anything you think is downright offensive, let me know, and it'll be dealt with.
