"MARTIN ROAD" Track Comments

Growing up in Southern Maryland, we started off kindof poor. My mother invested every dime she had into a 20 acre track of land that would later be known as; Whisperwood Farm.

It was there I learned some of my hardest lessons and harvested some of my fondest memories.

We didnt have alot money growing up and for a period of time we did not have water. We supplied ourselves with firehouse and creek water. I can still feel that water splashing up my leg as I tried to carry a bucket to full for me to control. I was just a kid back then (7) or (8).

When I was 9 years old or so, my bother and I were the only two people small enough to dig the deepest portions of the future family well. I will never forget looking up and seeing the sky the size of a dime.

Between earning every simple luxury and the horses who were my best friends, I feel it allowed me to have balance in my life I would always keep close to my heart.

I feel this rough start has allowed me to charish every acomplishment I ever fulfilled. Every tangible item I ever bought was with the mindset of taking care of it forever; Because growing up, you may never get another new item, so "you better take care of this one" kind of thinking.

I will never forget where I came from, no matter how far I go. and this song it just a glimpse of who I was..
