Krystaline Trance
Good Morning
Wow this has got some drive behind it. Can hear how much attention to detail has gone into this track. Production is crystal and love the vocal too. Good Morning to you and a thumbs up!
I wouldnt say I`m a massive trance fan as these days I think if you have heard one you have heard them all but this is very well constructed with some delightful melodic phrases throughout. Its easy on the ears and one I could listen if I wanted something to relax too. I cant comment on the technical aspects as I dont know anything about trance but I would have liked the opening melody and bassline to run a few bars more before the beats kicked in (no pun intended). The vox are nice but sad to say like so many trance vox they ubiquitiously banal. I think the track works well as an instrumental. All things considered you knock this stuff out consistantly excellent everytime and I know its far from easy even if it sounds it so that shows the mark of pro at work so easy deserving of a thumbz Ant
Very crisp production. The song remains interesting for its entire length, no dull spots. Very listenable track. Gets my vote....... DJPAZ
Hey Matt this is a really solid track, first off the production sounds great super clean sound... You did an awesome job with mixing the vocals they sound really clear not too much reverb. Very relaxing sound reminds me of 4stings a bit. Nice work...
that kicks got beef defo not euro style lol
I'm not sure where to start. OK. Love the prodcution. Crystal. Not a fan of the euro-style kick and snare :( I'd like something more original It sounds like you have around 40/50 layers in this and I wish I had your computer.....anyway! Vocals are fab and the chord progression is fantastic but I did find it a little repetitive but I realise thats the idea with Trance. I would have loved after the middle 8, a massive explosion of sound Or maybe some driving bass? :) Really liked it mate, top quality, but doesn't have a stamp on it in my eyes. It doesn't scream Matt Wong - put something cheeky in there ;) you can rest assured you know exactly how to make a fantastic track thats near perfectly produced...i just want you to add something cheeky in there that makes you more original...a break beat? a heavy bassline? some orchestral strings? Just needs a little more Wong in there mate, but don't get me wrong absolute screamer of a track in right areas! Well done
Review 8-10 A lot of thought and attention to detail has gone into this track and the production is good . The drone pad snip in the intro adding a little tension & depth is good all building up to GOOD MORNING delivered and presented with that nice big bass drum creating impact and a nice summery feel. The background pad is now pulling on the emotions along with the bass changes creating a nice bounce, the backbone of any Dance track Bounce! Bounce! The bass changes with the vocals are good (attention to timing ) At 3:07 the pad is a bit flat maybe add some effects and white noise making it deeper & fuller. The only thing that makes a professional track better than the budding producer is the effects, and way more layers and sounds, as well as reverb's, white noise, some of our tracks have 30-40 layers in the end. When it kicks back in it all flows along quite nice although the track is a bit to long. In essence Matt I would say your 3-4 tracks away from becoming a professional producer. Well Done Tips to all budding Trance producers : Layering! By layering different sounds playing the same melody you can keep the individual synths volume down, keeping it smooth. The power is achieved when "the low volumes" of the layered synths play at the same time. Remember to use the eq sparingly; don't cut/boost where not needed but don't let the sounds get muddy. One way is to choose a sound you really like and build around it with other sounds. In order to create interest in the repeated melodies of Trance is by varying the filter cut offs on their synthesizers. Varying the cut off makes the synthesized phrases change from dull sounding to very bright and piercing. And when it comes to uplifting trance remember the melody plays a huge role. If your melody is too minimal, it will definitively ruin your track. A lot of producers start of well in a track but do not pay enough attention to the melody and a bad melody in trance music usually means cheesy or as Rodd likes to say Kiddie music. Octaves shifting a melody up a whole octave before or after a build up, it gives things a peaking vibe. alternate one part up/one down and you can keep a vibe going for a while without any real changes Detuned synths detune those waveforms! these are called hoovers hoffers and lots of other names. this will make your synths loud and phatt. Dead notes to make the sound really authentic add some notes to your sequences which are played very down in the volume. a normal listener is not able to hear the dead notes but they go directly into his brain With your drums divide into two channels, on one channel set the compression really high, with low threshold. On the other set a low threshold , low ratio and slowish attack. Mix them together and get the balance where the peak of the lightly compressed channel is heard on the attack of the drums but the compressed channel is heard more on the delay This will bring life and power to the drums. Theres nothing, the likes of my humble experience can add to this!!! Very lushios to my ears Matt!! Very floaty, with a double gorgeous bline!! Far too many fine and beautiful elements for me to comment upon but I have to mention the fantastic production!!!!!!!!!! Great work Matt, Love it!!!!!!!!! Barry
Sounding quality Matt. I wish the vox was pure and not auto-tuned, but that's just a preference. The reverb/delay/rev reverb on the vox is sounding sweet. Slower than usual, isn't it? :D LONG LOL ( i know, i know, trance :D) nice work, gl with in the compo :)
you already know my thoughts on this one m8.. while im here il just had a few credits to your name. the pluck square lead is sounding top notch m8, the bassline defo sylength lol. i like this final version i hope lol ? the arps are sounding very hipnotic matt :) nice saw sounds too on the later gallop arp/ lead.. kick and percs no need for ajust to my ears, that all said, im happy you upped this version. really wish you well in winning that comp, RTD PEACE OUT FX
