I have been playing the piano most of my life but never really played for anyone but myself. I of course played at some chuch services and such and at times for friends but I have never tried to really make my living in music. The strange thing is I never really listened to a lot of music (except perhaps in my teens and young adult life in the 70s) so I never really knew how to classify my own music. I am now about to turn 50 and I am realizing, hopefully not too late, that I would love to persue my music. Since I had always just played for myself, I am mostly interested in marketing my music to the movie or television industry as oppossed to being a performer, although I would do that as well if there ever was an interest. I am told I compose and play through tonal mathmatics since I cannot really even read music. I have never been able to really show emotions, so I feel I work through those emotions through my music. I have been told the most genuine smile I have is when I am playing the piano.
