Somehow missed your music to date. Not anymore, love this!
Love the echo added to the vox. Guitars are great and the whole feel is cool.
Dig the guitars big time!!!Nice feel to this one! Thumbs up
NIce guitar tones and vocals. Heavy riff in the second verse is cool. Nice Lead tone! A little like Pantera. R Grigg
You hit all kinds of classic rock buttons with this tune. This is bad ass stuff! EXCELLENT GUITAR SOLO! Excellent vocals, excellent tune period! This sounds good enough to kick some of the older bands off the radio and make room for the new stuff. DAMN, THAT'S A BADASS SOLO!!!
a fan of classic rock bands from an early age, martyn began playing in bands from teenage years.
he began recording his own material, after becoming frustrated after forming a few bands that"never really gelled".
"i found that learning the basics of recording on a pc,was a real uphill struggle,i had never owned a computer up until that point, and just grappling with the basics was painstaking"
undeterred he carried on until,a year later he had come up with a cds worth of songs and he titled this collection of songs HYBRID.
"i decided to do all the cover art and print all the cds off..the whole thing,it is like a cottage industry,...i just gave them all away to friends and family."
a few months later martyn decided to begin recording again...and within a few months had put together another cd he entitled ,SWEATBOX.
"the same thing happened with this one as the first,i just gave copies away....
im working on some new stuff now,and i am more happier with the mixing and production,i have learnt a lot through trial and error"
the tracks represented here are older tracks now...but that will change as i move forward.
martyn bailey all guitars, bass, vocals and b/vox,drum programming, sample manipulation.
did some re-takes (about 5) for a vocal track i did the other week...but found i didnt really better the initial take....so its onto another track...:)one of my mates thought i had added too much reverb...i found i had added it non destructive...so that was a relief....just knocked it back a bit and that seemed to ease my sense of errr, unease about it..phew.
spent most of this weekend locked in a broom cupboard doing vocals for some tracks ive spent some time on...a few months ago i did some vocals in a average (normal sized room),but i figured isolating myself might yield a better result.I found that this effected the reverb setting that i normally use(destructive editing),owing to room size ,i assumed...so had to scurry back and forward uttering all manner of blue language...to re-do everything.eventually after that i figured that isolating myself was a better idea than bothering the neighbors, and got a better result...i think. on the whole, material for another collection of songs is going quite well, ive been really surprised and very humbled by all the real nice comments ive received on some of the tracks..thanks to everyone who has took the time to listen and comment..gratitude and respects to you all.
