Hi Mate, No Fool Like An Old Fool, how true kev, I Think this has a touch of the old Dr Hook about it,- about it, and they were class as well, Many Thumbs mate, Kev
Hi Gibbo. It's been a while since I last checked out and commented on your music but it's great to be back and listening to everyone's new efforts. This is a delightful track and slightly reminds me of The Eagles and they are one of my favourite bands of all time. Really glad I checked this out. Well done to you, Master Peo, Terry Wigmore and all those involved. Voted. PJ
I see there's collobration between uk artists that's very heart-warming I wonder how we can collobrate online over these distances btw kudos to this great song
I really like the vocals on this and Im not just typing away. I tell you the beauty of music. I love your production. This reminds me of something but I just can't place it. Im really listening to you. I like that background, "I don't subscribe to that few" Man this is just down out good stuff. Im a fan and that will not change
This is fantastic.. Love your vocals on this! Please post the lyrics. The backing vocals really add to the depth and mood of this tracks. I don't think I ever heard the original but this is pure delight to me. Really enjoyed! Very much so.
nice southern drawl on this one, great stuff. Voted.
Love this, the old time country/Byrds vibe is wonderful, love the backing vocals too. One of the best I've heard on here- and competition is fierce. Thanks for the dl - maybe would like a stab at this sometime to play at a local folk club?
Hey, just in response to your question of inspiration from my teens for "Never Made It To Space" was Oasis - D'yer Wanna Be A Space Man
Yah-hoo Gibbsy...version 2 is now hitting the spot!! Great to have a "warble" along in the background with Wiggsy...I think we blend really well together to show off them husky tones of yours. Always wanted to back Rod Stewart!! Great song/music/vibe throughout!! keith
Perfect fit! Glad you fellas gave Peo's accompaniment the song it so richly deserved...yeehaw!
Excellent !!! The harmonies sit just right ! Well done! Thank you , guys! - / Peo
Glad to ride on out to this tune and add some cowboy crooning with Keith. 10 gallon hats, spurs and chaps...a whole bunch of wanna be cowboys swaying and crooning with us, I'm sure. What fun to support your own authentic country twang. Well done, again, or is it still, Kevin :)
Hi Gibbo - enjoyed Peo's original instrumental but the vocal melody really takes it to another dimension. Got a "Smokie" feel to this (remember them from the 70s) - infectious pop with a C&W; vibe. Nice emotive vocal performance. Rated. John & Paul
Great song! The lyrics are totally fitting...'miner forty-niner'...and with those 'husky' tones that you produce, makes it a remarkable vocal too...reminds me also of Rod Stewart ...and he is one hell ova' singer!! Cant help thinking theres a little something missing from this track tho?.... :-) keith
This is brilliant! Lyric is top class mate. Love the backing from Peo to. This is top class stuff people and will do very well I am sure! Enjoyed this very much. Rated.
It has been pointed out many a time, probably to the annoyance of singers, but I'll dare say it here. Because of the often-apparent erasure of discernible accent or dialect when one sings, it is easy to imagine a different scenario. To me, your natural dialect is not noticeable in this recording, so it is very easy to imagine you as an authentic south-west American country singer. You graced Peo’s instrumental with a fine vocal line, Gibbo. I feel it adds a new flavor to your catalog and shows your versatility in music.
Life is full of surprises, Terry! And this is not the end, it is not even the beginning of the end (Churchill, I think). There is a rumour in Town, that we can exspect something more to come in connection with this country song ... Apart from that, Gibbo´s wonderful lyric and vocals have made something more of this song than just a country song. Thanks for your contribution, Gibbo! - / Peo
Who'd a thunk??!!...Kevin and Peo teaming up on what? No kidding...A C +W tune??!! When I first heard this a big, broad smile just crept along my face with a dawning awareness that, "YUP!" Kevin, is a closet country crooner!! Peo, delights with the details in his selection of phrases and instruments, while Kevin found his heart in Texas... or Arizona (nods to Michaelson, Ritchie who, I don't think, do country :D Life is funny!... and Kevin, this is so well twanged (I mean sanged...er sung ) Thumbs! Want some cowboys to join the Lone-star?
I am just sitting back and relaxing to this track, very nice and the quality is solid as a rock!
HI Gibbo and Byron, I like Country music, it has that "lived in" quality, a realness and heaps of emotion and soul, and this track has IT in spades, I get such a laid-back feel from this, makes me think of all the great music in the 70's! Cool vocal and playing and lyrics, cool collaboration guys! Cheers, Andrew
a nice tune you got here its a laid back cool track the vocal puts me in mind of rod Stewart which can't be bad i liked this song man
Great interpretation, there are so many great musical tracks on this site, You have really turned this tune into a great song. Lovely stuff
A Tuesday Paradox was formed in 2008, a duo, Kevin "Gibbo" Gibbons and Byron Jones.
Byron Jones escaped the Paradox in Dec 2012 but his talent remains on this page.
Tony Gibbons wrote, sings and plays guitar on Never Gonna Let This Die, Byron on keys, Gibbo, more guitars and production.
CORINNE came to sing on "A Christmas Lament" and was responsible for writing and singing "Simple Things" with some musical accompaniment from Jones, Gibbons and Wigmore
Cure-ish, Floyd-ish and something else here that you bring to the table..gentle with a pinch of sadness and a latent strength all hidden just beneath the surface that glides and glistens between my ears. Absolutely lovely.
