A bit about me...
I was born in South Africa and originally from Cape Town but have been living in London since 1999. I've spent a bit of time dj'ing but know that the music industry is a tough one to crack so pursue a professional career in I.T. I also play the guitar and am the son of the renowned South African folk singer and song writer Brian Finch.
Having been introduced into the dance music scene in 1994 & after realising I wasn't going to be following in my fathers footsteps on the guitar, I started messing around with Fruity Loops and then moved onto Reason. After looking at some of the rubbish I've bought on vinyl over the years and also having the urge to create my own music every time I hear a good tune, I finally decided I'd found my creative niche in electronic music.
My genre of music tends to centre on uplifting Euro trance but then who knows what style is what these days. I'm a big anthem fan but also enjoy funky to progressive house, anything that gets the feet moving. I've been trying to create something funkier for years now but my musical brain seems to automatically slip into trance mode whenever I'm on a roll.
All my tracks are created on Reason. I have experimented with lots of other software such as Fruity Loops, Cubase and many VST's however I always come back to Reason for it's simplistic format and ease of use. I would love to purchase an Access Virus but that would force me to use Cubase again so need to be sure of the switch.
