Hi Melinda...love what you're doing!!! Great chilled vibe that definitely touched a spiritual chord...I'm still fighting my spiritual and literal battles at the moment but this made me contemplate them...although I did get obsessed whether the instrumentation was Indian or Arabic influenced...lol. Sorry it's taken me sooo long to get back but I've not been about for over a year. Glad I finally got back and glad to hear stuff that strokes my soul ;)

As an introduction to your music this piece works amazingly well on every level. Containing several interweaving layers of shared emotion, over a landscape of beautifully crafted and sultry sounds; Jericho Road is more than enough to get me fully hooked. The oboe is a beautiful accompaniment to your haunting voice. I guess most of us have been along this road at some point in our lives, and it is good of you to share this particular vision with us.

Oh! This is cool!! That's a cool beat that you got. It does go well with the pretty sweet guitar and lovely vocals Melinda! Even though I read your track comments about the instrumentation, it really works out and blends well like Riddle states. You also just can't go wrong with an oboe lol. Melinda - truly excellent song, the bits I liked.. the whole atmosphere created, good use of sounds which blend together well, cool chord changes (seem to have stopped just now), there's my favorite on first listen, when the note on "Jerichooo" blends into the oboe. Anyway, you know it's a fabulous song already (and look! a ConKuss comment) so well done you and I hope your son is happy to inspire or provoke more music out of you as life goes on.

ah i c u reuploaded ur trax! k first track i'm gunna listen to of urs. now to the track... Sweet pad (gothic guitar) in the intro with nice layered perscussion. I like also the way u panned them, very cool. Now ur voice comes in and its sounding soothing like always. I'm really liking the lyrics, its like something the bible would say. 1:34 the instruments are taking truns layering in with there solos. very real sounding. wow u actually but an oboe in here? sounding cool almost like a clarinet thou cuz oboe sounds more, iuno how to explain it. but nice melody line. Well u brought back my Christian memories with this track and for some reason i'm thinking of a band playing at a church and u singing, lol. Awesome track with an impressive and intense message! Love the eastern touch in it (sitar and melody line) and your vocals and the oboe are just wonderful. Ok so this one took me back to a song I absolutely loved by an 80's group called Yello. They had Shirley Bassey sing on a number called Rythm Devine. Your voice is very very similar and velvety! Outstanding!! :P

Aah, those eastern influences. Just my cup of tea - what is is about the pentatonic scale that turns me on so much? I dunno, maybe it's best to not ask questions like that... As for the track itself, I've got to say this is simply beautiful - your vocals are a dream to listen to, they seem to slide over from the speakers and caress my ears. Musically too, this track shines, especially at an ultra-loud volume. Crisp and clear, everything is just at the level it should be. Impressive work, Melinda - I'll be sure to return to check out more at a later date. Rated.
