Being a fan of soundtracks myself i was eager to listen. I love the start!!. Creates a really sad and empty mood and the subtle use of sounds creates a true feeling. I was not expecting the guitars and drums but thats not to say it dont work. It does work just different... I would maybe tinker the ending a touch.. Nice work though
Could see this working well in a movie. Enjoyed listening. Very well done and rated.
Hey Justin! Glad to see you on the site! You already know how I feel about the piece, but I'll say it again. It's great dude. I love the overall mood, and I really like the saxophone because it produces a nice color. The bass is warm and love the light piano part, but I'm a sucker for anything that has piano and strings lol. Great job man!
I am a 22 year old student at Florida State University looking to get into free lance film scoring. I am a saxophone player, and I have recently acquired an EWI which I plan to use in a lot of my composing.
I was born into a family of musicians. Began playing saxophone around the age of 11. I was a decent player, and enjoyed playing a lot. Once I started taking lessons a few years later, I really got into playing classical saxophone. I came to FSU as a Music Education major, taking private lessons with Patrick Meighan. Between my 2nd and 3rd year, I changed to Commercial Music. I rarely still play saxophone. I have an EWI and have been practicing on that. My composing background is not very extensive. All I had ever done before college was arrange music. In college I was pushed to write my own music, where I discovered my enjoyment in film scoring. I am still new to composing in general, and I joined mp3unsigned so that I could meet some fellow composers and hopefully learn from them. Please rate and comment!
