catchy tune guys! it reminds me of a harder, more grunge "sex and candy" type track. i love the "love and pain in equal measures" line/part. i love the haunting minor sounding guitars against the more upbeat vocal passage. keep rockin! jonathan-RTE
sorry I Missed this , Enjoyed the listen. Vin
Good track, enjoyed it I did. Rated. Craig
Great production, nice vocals. Guitar work is top notch nice job. Rated also. Darren.
I recognise this from the Stonedog page -can't remember what I wrote before but I'm pretty sure I liked it. This version is much improved with a stronger vocal performance and a lot more oomph. Rated.
real nice finish by the way again unexpected
Nice vocal and good intro riff. Has a unique voice. The rundown in chords is very beatles and is a nice change in this genre. Some great backing highlights and unexpected harmonica. Has a real vibe this track. Nice work and thanks for the comments. Andy Ammp
Excellento. Rhys never fails to mesmerise with his vocals.
this is a cracker..ive listened before but didnt comment..all spot on..my mrs digs it also..she hates my stuff...cow
I just love your voice, the musics perfect for it, love the lyrics, Like Dawn said, can't fault it. :] x
Couldn't fault it if I tried...love the contrasts in this song...equal measure indeed...for some reason I was reminded of dear Jay of Conkuss fame...bless him. I am going to bed now so nothing can spoil the pleasure of this one.
This has a nice feel to it guys. Melancholy yet not bitter. Lyrics and vocal performance are delivered with gusto top say the least! Only gripe would be the volumes and panning plus a tad much with the reverb maybe. LoL! Sorry guys. I know my own productions suck big time......rated!
Rock on you two. getting better and better all the time. I can def imagine hearing this on the radio. My fav so far. Great collab once again.used up all my noms but I'll get you one at my earliest chance. Rated and recommended
Yep you guys are knocking out some fab stuff ain't you? Seems like your on a roll at the moment and as has been noted below they seem to get better and that can only be a good thing.. cant really add much more to what has already been said, but I will say I think this is great.. well done guys!!!!!
great group, great song, each release has been stronger than the last, you are developing a great sound and your lyrics have always been very strong. Greatness beckons :) Rated
great voice reminded me a little of reef, very strong track, lyrics are very good, the wee plinky guitar is spot on,it a crackin track well produced.
2nd listen......yes interesting to hear you sing the intro without your trademark rasp......makes even more of an impact....."what's your pleasure" line is hooky.....like the bass and guits......strange to hear the harmonica!....works though.....acoustic break very nice.....very good track Jon and Rhys! Kevin Mooney
A strong track no doubt! I like the vocal melodies running through it, great intro and drop down, specialy at around 3 mins! I cant turn it up at the mo, but it seems the drums are a bit drowned out..... In all .. an excellent track!
What an intro!!! Like the gentle side of your vocals Rhys as well as your signature raw vocal stylings! What an impact from the intro tho! lol Top quality guitar work, from the bass to the 3 or 4 guitars in the fore & background!!! Hahah who put in the cheeky harmonica?! lol Liking the drums alot to every that big sub like reverb'd kick on the breakdowns, that must be listening to my trance trax paying off for you now! hahah Fuk me even a spanish guitar (I think? lol), really adds to the pallet and its painting a sweet picture you 2! The part with the vocals at arounf 4.30 are quality! Everything sounds very well recorded and polished! A sweet mix and nice production! Best of luck with it lads! Marty
d a m n.... that was kicking boys! excellent stuff.... really like the unexpected turnes in the arrangement... really kept me on the edge of my seat... killer guitars and vocal performance... I can easily see this performed on stage live, and oddly, it doesnt remind me of anybody, has a very unique sound and I freaking like it alot! R&N;
yip!...great tune guys all around! Just don't know what to expect with a collab. Love the accoustic tones! R8!
Awesome guys! I agree with steve eyre, your tracks never fall into the obvious trappings. I love the way the track goes from sweetly quiet to the massive vocals and lead guitar. Love it and rated it.Well done guys. Barry
blistering vox performance and ace lyrics - love the music - really look forward to each new offering from Hare of the Dog:)
Excellent tune, i love the guitars an melodies in this song. Great vocals as always.Niceone
Nice one guys ! - jon
what i like about your styles is they shine so well when you collab. Also the arrangements never fall into the obvious trappings, the tension keeps the edgy gritty rawness..good lyrics on this and rhys makes them sound like his.rated.
This collab is definitely growing by each track, another track that grabs ya and makes ya listen, that ..almost harmonica distorted sound is a nice touch, everything sounds perfecto on this, from Rhy's vocals to Jon's guitar and that clean melodic break around 3 mins is the business guy's, great track and justlty awarded loved it :)
A deviant who thinks outside the box eh? Well they would, wouldn't they? You guys have definitely established a "sound" and style that works perfectly for you (and me, come to that). Great song and performance. Graham
another fine offering guys...very good lyrics btw... reading along with the song is so much more of a pleasure...already talked about the mix... so no need to comment on that...cool backing track.. nice guitars..and solid beats...and yet again another monster vocal performance... a collab partnership thats going from strength to strength thumbs up :)
Yes, you are. (the deviant) Another outstanding track, guys, you had me hanging on to every note. Jon, your easily one of my favorite lyricists, I readily relate to everything I've heard you do, both solo and in collab with Rhys. And Rhys, I'm developing a whole new appreciation for your vocal stylings, you do an excellent job with Jon's words. Great work, guys, rated and nominated.
Hare of the Dog are:
