not my genre but glad to drop by and say this is a really great track full of things my ears don't usually get to hear - a real treat for me! :)
Really glad I stopped by for a listen, gem of a track mate, great percussion/effects and quality melodies throughout, held my attention all the way mate, good stuff :)rated, downloaded
What grabs me most in most of your work is the use of strange percussion sounds. Somehow they always fit ! Is this still all done on a hardware sequencer ? You're a crazy man Michael and I love it !
Some lovely warm sounding synths going off in here, i like the heavily reverbed percussion as well, normally I avoid reverb like this like a plague, but it works really well for you jammy git lol. There's a lovely throb in there as well that sounds like a prophet 5 that I'm rather taken with as well, so plenty for me to enjoy about the track, well done, rated :)
very mental. some interesting sounds in there. very aphex twin in parts. i guess you need to like this genre to get it though. i do !!

Behind that shiny new name lies an old(er) MP3 Unsigned face. Certainly if you know of the name Planet Dust, then this artist will already be well known to you. I have reviewed a couple of PD tracks before but I think I must ahve lost those reviews somewhere because I can't lay my hand on them right now. The last track I did find (Sleep/Dream - August 2005) I liked as a peice of
I've been a fan of Michael aka Planet Dust since he appeared here earlier this year. Never one to stick within genre boundaries too closely, he is responsible for consistantly high levels of originality and production quality. So naturally I was delighted when he invited me to review his track Extrinsic, a breakbeat-fuelled piece of electronica.
Is this the young Off-spring of a BoC artist member? Who knows. Michael, pastes this tracks image all over the 40 foot canvas using sweeps, dramatic filtering, thick melodical structures. The image, sat in an open top car driving late at night...lamppost...lamppost...bridge...lamppost. This track relates well to the Artist Biography Picture. The future album, would definatly be some ear-candy, for
I know for a fact that I have reviewed a track from this outfit before but I think I must have lost it in the computer crash I've just suffered (along with some un-released music from me - waaaaaahhhh). Although I can remember very little about the band, the name definitely rings a couple of bells in my mind, so obviously the review wasn't that bad whichever track it was. Planet D
Well, now we’re going to delve into some electronica from Michael Elsey aka Planet Dust. The song is “Pause”. This was a first time for me to hear Planet Dust’s music. I was looking at Michael’s influences and was only familiar with a couple of them, so I wasn’t sure what to expect.
Another new artist, this time from over at MP3 Unsigned. Apparently, according to the webpage, Planet Dust consists of one guy whose name I have been unable to discover. Matter of fact all the webpage tells you is that he is from South West England and he his an electronic 'producer' - which as we all know can cover a multitude of different sins. According to all I've been
‘Blue Lullaby’ – a few wordies from Spyda I haven’t had the pleasure of listening to Planet Dust prior to being prompted in his/her direction by my review thread; however I was pleasantly surprised & impressed with what I heard. Noticing that the second track ‘Transaction’ has already had a few plays & received comments by members of the site I decided to take a longer li
