Formed in 1998, 40oz. (originally known as 40oz. Failure) made an immediate and lasting impression on music fans in upstate NY. and throughout the world. Having sold over 5000 copies of their 1999 debut album "Working Class Zero", 40oz. began to perform to crowds of over 500 on a regular basis in the Finger Lakes region. Accumulating over 50,000 plays on the now defunct MP3.com, they reached fans across the globe with their unique aggressive sound.
Following their initial success, the band persevered through some set backs to be reborn as 40oz. Combining the intense presence of vocalist Matty D. with the introspective vocals of Jon Lamanna, 40oz. redefines the format of a dual-vocal rock band. Blending brutal crunch with melodic precision, the guitar work of BJ Carter and Ryan McFaul is tactical, yet raw and uncompromising. Driving this wall of sound is the rhythm section of bassist Kory MacLauchlan and drummer Jason Telarico, providing a solid backbone of bottom heavy stability.
One Listen to 40oz. will prove their diversity, craftsmanship and original sound touches all genres of music, without fear or hesitation. The passion of the music covers all emotions, taking the listener on a journey with the band through their lives and experiences.
