The Van Dammits It all started on a hot stormy night in Winnebago county when what appeared to be a UFO crashed into our planet. Out from the UFO walked four guys with one mission, to play live music for the planet Earth. Naw! Just kidding! But wouldn't that be something. Originating in 1996 out of Rockford, IL, The Van Dammits consist of Josh Watson- vocals/guitar, Jon Leaf- guitar, Nyle Smith- bass, and Jared Jernigan- drums. With influences of Sublime, The Hives, and 311, The Van Dammits are what some consider a New-Rock groove with a Punk-Rock feel. Having some of the best catchy originals and most recognizable covers, The Van Dammits are definitley an upbeat, good-time, party band. Currently playing the Midwest, and with their second studio cd realease later this year. The Van Dammits are willing to widen their horizons and play anytime anywhere.
