Henry Mclaurin Jr. A.K.A. Henneci Love a Brooklyn native, blessed with a God given voice that would take him to stardom. Henry Began singing at the age of twelve at church, in the halls at school and wherever time would permit, and for him, that was any time. Never really much of the shy one, he was more than eager to join or start groups in schools. While in Junior high school he worked with project concern as drug intervention and prevention peer counselor for students, under the direction of Mr. Louis Gonzalez. There he discovered his talent and not only became a lead counselor but also a star performer. Henry went on to Clara Barton H.S. There, in his sophomore year, he met two other students from the senior class. The three became good friends and formed a group called "MPM" which stood for Most Popular Men. The group gave Henry his first stage name, "Sweet Daddy". He was also the lead singer. The very first show that MPM performed was at the Crown Heights Youth collective. During the next 12 months the group would be asked to perform at several talent shows and competitions including a program on channel 54 and the popular club "Sweet Waters". During the rest of his H.S. days and his college days he performed at numerous engagements inside and outside of school. Performing before classmates, radio programs, and parties and even opening for MC Hammer and Lisa' Lisa and Cult Jam for a benefit concert at Medgar Evers college's ampi-theater. Two highlights during that time was when Henry re-united with his old church choir along with members from his H.S. choir to perform at City Hall before the then Mayor David Dinkins. A few months later Henry performed at Borough of Manhattan Community College for their senior's convocation. The staff and students were so impressed; he was asked to perform the national anthem at the world famous Madison Square Garden for the schools graduation. During his final year college was invited to sing at a birthday party.. When the party was over, the father of the birthday girl approached henry and informed him that he was very impressed with him. He owned his own independent record label and asked if henry would be interested in joining. Henry jumped at the idea and later became the labels top artist. During college many people referred to his singing as being magical, and so his friends started to call him Mr. Blackwood, referencing his singing to the magic of the world-renowned magician Harry Blackstone. Mr. Blackwood's first performance under his new label Sepia Entertainment Records, came when he was asked to perform at Verizon Telephone co. for a black history celebration. They liked him so much that they invited him back the following year. Mr. Blackwood's talent was further displayed as he took center stage at the world famous Apollo Theatre. He was one of the headlining artists for the annual Rose Records Label festival. Mr. Blackwood recorded his first CD single and it was circulated on the underground R&B; scene. He also put together a Hip-Hop R&B; showcase called Blackwood style. This made MR. Blackwood a household name. The first song released ("Stuck On You") got Mr. Blackwood in the very popular Long Island University news paper the "The Ticker" showing great reviews and comparing Mr. Blackwood to some of the stars already at the top of the charts, artist like Brian McKnight and Gerald Levert. It wasn't until the next release of ("Don't Turn away Your Love") that sparked Mr. Blackwood's career, making The City Beat Magazine's top 10 r/b list and the Premium record pool's list as one of the most popular songs on the underground club circuit. He sold his CD in two major music stores, Tower Records and Coconuts. Each sold out. Henry McLaurin, who was once known as Mr. Blackwood, is now known as "Henneci Love". The name Henneci coming from the cognac "Hennessy" a strong but smooth drink is how this artist describes his music and performance. Henneci Love has no boundaries and will do whatever it takes to make his dream come true. Henneci Love's goal is to continue to create ideas and writes song's that will change R&B;, as we know it. Look for the creative talent of Henneci Love to emerge victorious with the creation of song's like "Cheat". This song is something very rarely spoken about by male R&B; singers. It's a smooth song with a "Maxwell" feel but it has a bit of an edge. "I Like The Way", another Henneci Love creation, a slightly upbeat song with a funky hip-hop sound. This is just a little taste of Henneci Love's talent's, And he's Just Beginning.
