Pure energy is the best way to describe Enve on stage. Off the stage, Enve is always looking to do bigger and better shows and always finds a way to get it done. They mean business.
Enve was formed in 2000 when Kirk Romero finished recording his first musical project titled Incision. He showed his childhood friend John Lemos his work and together they decided to create the band Enve. Shortly after that Kirks father, Frankie joined the band as the drummer and high school friend Mike Lascola as bassist. They rehe....d the songs from “Incision” for about a year before they decided to book some shows. They played various places in the Sacramento Ca. area, and got a lot a positive feedback. It took only a handful of shows for them to receive attention from a local radio D.J. Shortly after that they were featured on a radio program called “Local Licks”. It was apparent to the band that people were gaining interest in them. Enve decided to do something that nobody expected. Instead of continuing to gig they decided to go back into their homemade studio and record an album as a band. It took them almost three years to complete the album. During that time bassist Mike Lascola left the band and moved to Arizona and John Lemos left to focus on his family which had grown from three members to five members. Mike was replaced by a cousin of Kirk’s, Anthony Macaluso and when John left the band, Anthony’s brother, Robert Macaluso was added to take the role of rhythm guitar.
Enve consists of four members. Kirk Romero is the front man and driving force. He wrote and produced the “Incision” album that brought the four men together. Frankie Romero is the drummer of Enve. He also has a good sense of public relations. He has a natural talent for communication. Robert plays rhythm and looks to provide material to the band. Anthony Macaluso covers the bass work and also looks to provide material. Enve is currently writing material as a band and has incorporated two new songs into their play list.
As far as music goes, Enve brings a sound unlike what is out there today. Their aggressive and gritty guitar tracks are accompanied by palatable vocal tracks that you normally don’t hear with this style of music. Every song brings a barrage of riffs and thunderous drum tracks. These songs are not in your typical mainstream format but are well thought out. It seems this band has no problem writing since they have 30 + original songs under their belt. The “Manifest Destiny” album is a step forward from “Incision” both in sound quality and material.
When it comes to raw energy, solid material, live performance, and business sense, Enve answers the call.
