Why are there no real good tv programmes on at night. Surely there is more than one person who doesnt sleep much who likes watching good tv.  I cant afford sky or anything so stuck with terestrial because dad doesnt see the point in upgrading.

I don't watch TV, I've got too much other stuff to do.

Like post here....

I only like 2 shows, and they're always on late at night.  So I guess it's ok?  You could always just stare at the ceiling seeing what images you can pick out!

I currently watch two programmes, Dr Who and Later with Jools Holland. Other than that, the TV is totally ignored.

It would be nice if we had some more actual music based programmes to watch...I mean good, worthwhile, valid informative ones. TOTP and the Pepsi Chart just doesn't cut it!

I remember the days of The Tube with real fondness. Now that was an exciting, groundbreaking show!

Get yourself a freeview top box for about £50 one off payment. The extra BBC channels are superb, you get a couple of pop music channels and some other stuff.

Sky isn't worth the money - we've had it twice before and ended up only watching the Beeb! There are so many channels full of nothing you end up never watching anything because you are too busy flicking about.

Ooooh Woolworths do a box for £40. There you go, raid the piggy bank, just plugs in the back of the TV.

I don't watch much TV other than News 24.

Still, Big Brother is starting next Friday and despite my best intentions, I always get totally hooked ...

nooooooooooooooooo!

not another big brother season!!!

that means months (by the time you have celebrity big brother too) of channel 4 giving up on its late night programming and showing fuzzy pictures of people sleeping!!!

no more late night films  no more inventive late night tele

back to nothing but bbc learning zone (which is good apart from the gcse nights and the language nights... i do enjoy watching the open university programmes)

wanted to watch Patton the other night, but it was on at midnight, and it's about 4 hours, so big BAH to the BEEB

Anyway, I'd much rather be reading a book, just got Armageddon, battle for germany 1944-1945 by Max Hastings
