Gashcan 5 is a band, playing what we call music. It’s a very loose term that we use to identify the sounds that come out of our trailer, but it seems to fit somewhat. Having never professed to be good, and with only two very low key public appearances, we have already picked up some major critical slander. Very quickly becoming the most hated band that nobody’s heard, we play cow punk, a mixture of cow, and punk.
Our sound came about in around 5 minutes, when Jones sped up one of Scott’s songs, Si picked up his double bass and Erin topped it off with harmonica; all we’ve been doing since then is keeping it from falling apart. Even though we’re only mixing up a few sounds… country, rockabilly, punk… we seem to have hit on something. It may not be the most original sound in the world, and to us it seems like the most obvious sound possible, but you’ll struggle to find much out there that sounds like us.

We exist purely as a service to anyone who wants to listen, so enjoy the music and keep on truckin'
