Ok peeps i've had a bad week and i'm p*ssed off, so i'm gonna get something off my chest,

Ive turned out 4 songs in a week n a half.....and im quite content within myself that ive put a good bit of effort into each one.  Now, i might have this quantity thing goin on yeah, but, isnt it possible to write a nice song every 2 days......id have thought its very possible.  Not that mine are brill, but i have good ears, and im confident that they aint sh*t.   OF COURSE many many ppl will not like em, but thats just how ppls opinions differ....nout to do with a bad song really...coz even the worst one will be liked by somebody.

Does happen but its all part of the site I guess. There's a few people on here I know I can rely on to give me honest feedback, and thats who I pay attention to

Could just make a listener account and use that to give honest advice with?

I think one just has to sort out where each artiste is coming from.....a newbie posting a raw song with lots of potential is worthy of support in the hope that he/she'll develop as time goes by, but an old hand posting songs with little work put in is a bit depressing. Not taking a dig at anyone, just commenting in general....my own musical journey has been a struggle all my life, I hear a lot of tunes and ideas in my head but it takes years and years of practice to get to be able to do it even half-decently. A good tune? Hey, just hum the bloody thing into a mike and record it, but if you want to post a song to showcase, then put in the bloody effort to do it right and I'll support you.

The BEST song I've heard here, is a song I rate wayyyyyyyyyyy up there in the clouds, somehow it just connects with me, there is a message in that song that whispers to my soul. "Let It Shine", by Mark Ellis. Listen to it, think about a loved one who's passed away, and then tell me if I'm kissing ass :)

Mick, I havent; heard your latest stuff, but you were coming along very well and getting yourself into new territory, hope you've got them drums and etc things worked out, I'll be checking out your stuff.

We don't seem to be discussing production much. A pity, 'cos I think production is part and parcel of an indie musician's job.
